So judging by this I would have to become a computer nerd and drop at least 3k... or i can get an xbox and wait 5 to 10 more seconds for a load screen and have a slightly less clear picture? But on my 65 inch hdtv, the pictures is pretty damn smooth and with my surround sound, it's very immersive.
I'm gonna go with the one where i only spend like 300 bucks.
Enjoy your 3dtv.
I only spent 300 bucks on a gaming PC that can run anything out there. You don't have to become a nerd and you don't have to spend 3 grand. In fact if you spend three grand you're doing it completely wrong.
Building a PC is literally tab A into Slot B, cord C into port D, throw the windows disk in and done. It takes about an hour or so to go from a pile of parts to the windows desktop. Now building a rig on my budget does take some knowhow and some garbage picking, which is literally how I scored my monitor, but even then you don't have to become a nerd to pull it off.
To the PC guys: Console owners never have to upgrade their equipment to play the latest game at max settings. For a sub $300 initial investment (made years ago). Pretty cool.
I haven't had to upgrade my equipment to play latest games. I'm running on a 300 dollar homebuilt PC that can easily run New Vegas. Besides only benchmark/graphic [censored]s care about whether or not the game is maxed out. If it runs and it's playable you're good to go, and to get that you don't need to spend any more than you would on a console. Providing, of course, you can sniff out deals. I got a badass monitor because a school district was just throwing it away, my CPU was bought for 20 bucks because a pin had fell off(Being an AMD chip I simply wedged some wire from a bread tie into the matching hole in the socket and she works like a charm), and the only brand new components in my entire machine are the four sticks of G.Skill DDR400. That's only because I insisted on having four matched sticks because of how Socket 939 memory controllers behave with four gigs installed.
Honestly I'm tired of people saying you need to spend a fortune on PCs to game, and that you need to be able to max games out to play them. My own personal experience says otherwise.
