I'm curious: what sort of assistance does a retired teacher need?


Balmora. It's got a vibrancy to it, it's convenient, and though it's seedy and grubby there are friends nearby. Sorta like London, basically.

That retired teacher is also the not-retired artist. She's elderly with bad eyesight, and is fairly hearing and mobility impaired as well. She needs assistance for many of the things we younger people can do but take for granted, like reading, and responding to mail/e-mails, but I've helped her do everything from editing her memoirs, to walking her dog.

Favorite Morrowind town: Dagon Fel. Rugged, remote and unpretentious. I just love spending time there. Runner up would be Tel Branora, simply because I find the scenery and typical weather there very beautiful.

Whats your favorite type of landscape?

Around my home? Astroturf if I could afford it.

Other than that, rocky coastlines.

I don't believe I've ever had Dr Pepper Cherry, but I remember there was a cherry vanilla version which wasn't bad.

I don't listen to either, but my wife is a big fan of ELO so I'll go with them.

Funny, I seem to spend most of my time reading and responding to emails on behalf of perfectly able but too-busy people!
(The other "assistance" I tend to get asked for is "can you find that report that Thingy sent to that meeting last summer?" - yes, that vague, and yes, I often can!)

Have you guys ever had a bad mood because of some of the stuff you've seen on this forum?

Very rarely, but it's probably happened.

We're only human, after all. And conversely, there's likely been days where I've had a bad day, and find I'm feeling grumpy when I'm on here. Those are the days where it's good to take some time away from the Forum.

Possibly surprisingly, it's not the "crazy" responses and complaints we get, or the "problem" members that put me out. Really, it's the days where you go through thread after thread and it feels people just can't be respectful of differing opinions that can make me grumpy.

If you could change one rule/add one rule/remove one rule on this forum, what would it be?

Excellent a dev, a mod, and potentially a admin are among our numbers here. Most excellent indeed.

Some curiosity of my part but it is sometimes mentioned I believe (I might be misinformed) that deleted posts and topics are put into a archive of sorts so can we have a bit of a peek via screenshot this archive? Or in general what sticks out in your mind of a particulary absurd or rude post and/or topic.

And how often do you feel the need to delete posts?

What does I am not funny replace?

And what does really devoted fan replace?

Now I have to know.
