I don't mean to say that you made a bad decision, but any economist will tell you that you could have spent$130 now had $370 in a savings thing like a CD. Worst case scenario is you have to cash in on the CD early, so you lose any interest, but if you don't then you make interest at a decent rate and you therefore net more money.
Too complicated, plus I have nothing else to spend money on, I had the cash for it saved, and... Yeah. Shelling out $500 doesn't yet make me cringe. That will change REALLY fast when I get my own place and expenses though.
And given that GPUs don't exactly appreciate in value well after a few years... your argument of shelling out now instead of later is flawed (unless you just burn money instead of pocketing it, but then you have bigger problems)
