Apple and Samsung?

Once it's built it's no different than any other PC, and parts all have their own warranties. All I did was cut out the middle man, what's the difference in the finished product?

You don't have a single point of contact for faults.

Heck, why don't you save even more money etch your own PCBs and solder in the chips yourself?

You're not comparing like for like.

Already Asked and already answered. TLDR version: Andriod is "Open" (which I do not consider desirable on a phone) and isn't designed for the specific device that it will be running on from the ground up.

Hardware is irrelevant.

Its what you put the hardware to thats relevant.

So do you think it's right that you need to buy Apple TV (or whtever they call it) just so you can watch movies that you bought on iTunes? Not to mention that everything on iTunes costs way more than anywhere else.

So I need one company to have complete control over my whole computer, otherwise it's somehow inferior? I don't really get it...

I mean if you want to watch those movies on your TV.
Because it's not a normal format you need to stream it to the Apple TV device which is connected to the TV and it costs £101.

No, I'm not saying its inferior.

I'm saying that you can't compare it on price.

Or you buy some composite AV cables.

Apple lets you watch rentals on a Mac or PC with iTunes; on an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, iPod classic, or iPod nano (3rd generation); on an Apple TV connected to a TV; or on a portable device connected to a TV with an Apple composite or component AV cable. Finally, you can watch HD rentals only on a computer, an Apple TV, or an iPad.

You still have to pay £40 for a cable just because Apple doesn't want to sell their movies in any other common format?

Don't blame Apple. Blame the movie companies who insist on DRM.
They're more than happy to sell in a common format (MP3) when their agreements allow.
