An example of a shooter game I really liked was Call of Duty: Black Ops, much more than all the other ones because your character was developed but there was still great action moments. I'm not asking if Bulletstorm is as good, I'm not expecting that, but will it satisfy my need to mix action and story?

Bulletstorm is definitely better then Black ops. Mainly because the gameplay is varied and the story isn't a pulpy "cool-mind blowing stuffz" mess that Black Ops had
