Awesome Secret Places

I love finding all the Religious Shrines. They are a big treat for me when I encounter them.

The Treasure maps. So far, I have only found two such maps, and I was wondering how many in total there are.

The Peryite Deadric Quest was great. The delve into the Dwemer ruin was fantastic, plus, the afflicted and there attack. Hilarious.

The headless Horseman!

I've heard there is 9 of those treasure maps... I only have a couple too.

I have a Treasure Map X in my inventory, so presumably it goes up to at least 10 :)

I found a hot spring with (as part of the scenery) a giant, decayed mudcrab. The thing was half submerged in the pool, but was still taller than I am. The claws could have easily fit around my horse. In addition, in the pool had about 4 regular mudcrabs and another with a slightly different texture - it was smooth on top instead of having that pointed ridge to its shell.

I'm thinking mudcrab breeding ground around the corpse of an ancient one.

Very cool.

I came across a cave the other day, inside was a giant tree, gnarled roots everywhere that blocked any passage to get to the trunk of the tree. A waterfall fell from above into the cavern and leaves fell all around me.

I have had many little moments like that, including falling into the Wizards trap and finding Meeko. My favourite though was fighting my way through a Forsworn camp in the South of the map and coming across a place called Bard's Leap Summit. While I was admiring the view, I thought..."I wonder..." I couldn't resist the urge so I saved my game and did what came naturally. And I had a big smile on my face at the result! Thank you Bethesda, I thought. Nice touch. I also liked exploring my way through a Falmer cave close to Whiterun when I was a low level. The ordinary cave opened up into a Dwemer ruin being guarded by a Centurion. I was instantly obliterated but felt amazing to stumble upon, and a pleasant change from the cut/paste Ayleid ruins in Oblivion. And I knew then that Skyrm had addressed one of my main gripes winthe last game and gone back to Morrowind-esque dungeons, where exploring felt exciting.

There are 10 in total and they all lead to treasure, however if you go to the correct location without the map the treasure will not be there, you have to own the map! :)

Shadowgreen Cavern was awesome the first time I went in. A little bit of Cyrodiil for my homesick Imperial.

There is a large fallen tree bridging a revine in front of a water fall. A picturesque setting.

Crossing over the narrow trunk seeing the fall beneath you is hairy. But .... when you cross on the tree half way through a bandit pops into thin air and asks for a toll.

Forgot where it is though, I found it exploring on the return trip from the Elder Gleen back to White Run.
It felt like a scene in a movie. When he dies he falls 100ft to the water and it looks like it hurts.
