Your system is eerily similar to mine and i was getting fewer crashes before the 1.4 patch also.......... Same CPU and am using a 4850 512mb.
Had most setting on high and running ENB and skyboost with good performance.


Anyway, It seems a bit annoying that the game worked better on a prior patch, on the other hand Bethesda is likely still ironing out the various issues that the game had or now has. Also Skyrim has had fewer issues than many games of late and bethesda has shown they are making an effort to patch regularly.

P.S. It seems to be recommendation to remove third party dll's, I'm using ENB (largely because of being able to remove the adaptation effect) is there a better or similar mod that can do the same available? As i can't go back to the pupil dilation effect and flames giving off light like a fluorescent lightbulb.

I got a random crash today aswell in my vanilla game when I've never crashed in a previous patch unless i was running some crap mod.

I'm seeing this too.

Nvidia 8800 gts
3 gigs RAM
Win XP SP3

I know the spec aren't the greatest, but the game was running pretty well on "Medium".

Apart from the occasional random crash, I didn't have any real problems prior to the 1.4 patch. Now, every 20-30 mins the mouse starts to act up (sensitivity seems to drop drastically low) then the game freezes and can sometimes be quit via the Task manager and sometimes needs a hard reboot.



No mods installed; completely vanilla install.
