i really think some people just want the game nerfed for other people, it ain't gonna happen, this isn't world of warcraft or some multiplayer game, so how one person plays the game doesn't affect anyone else, its all just in their head, if i decide to "power level" a skill BIG DEAL, its not cheating, if you enchant 100 daggers you should get better at enchanting, if you sneak around a lot you should get better at sneaking, if you decide to level up enchanting you should be able to enchant items to a higher degreee, there are lots of ways to make a build in this game, you can play it how you want, if you don't want to use enchanting or smithing don't do it, but to complain its broken cause other people like to utilize some game mechanics to their advantage, thats their choice, i don't want some cry baby telling me how to make my character.
If this was in response to me saying that it was good that certain glitches are in the game because they are like cheats, I was referring to the restoration potion loop and stuff like that, not power leveling. Clearly, though, bethesda wants to discourage power leveling because of the changes they made since Oblivion, such as restricting magic xp to in combat casting. But power leveling is a whole different topic and I have no issue at all with the ability to power level.
There are two different basic perspectives in this game, challenge-seeking and role-playing. For most players, the two perspectives overlap. The problem is this notion that game restrictions are incompatible with role-playing. Try to understand that challenge-seekers can be provided with a decent challenge only through restrictions, so if you ban restrictions, you are cutting off the possibility for challenge-seekers to enjoy the game unless they pretend they are playing a different game by making up their own restrictions. Many enjoy Skyrim by making their own restrictions, but assuming this solution is lazy. It would be like saying that poorly cooked but pretty food is ok to serve because the people dinning can always modify it to their liking and no limitations to the appearance of the dish are worth sacrificing. Why not have both attractive and tasty food? Compromise is possible, but only as long as both sides are willing to accept that their perspective isn't the only perspective.
