No, personally I think it is the best one yet.

I agree, it is.
The person you quote though does have a point.

Not so much. It doesnt matter when you joined, or if Skyrim is your first or hundreth RPG - you judge it on its merits.

Most of the ops points are hugely judgemental and ill founded. For me Morrowind still edges the series, with Skyrim following shortly afterwards. The game has a lot of problems, but overall its still a damned fine experience.

It probably is the worst in the series, but that isn't to say it's a bad game. The fact that such a great came can be considered the worst is really a testament to how amazing the series is.

The game does look terrible, but I've always been under the impression TES was about exploring a land and surviving. Ive not done any of the major quest lines in 30+ hours of the game so far and have not gotten bored, which is amazing. Ive found a lot of small quests make you travel far, unlike in oblivion wher eyou hardly ever had to go more than 100ft to complete a quest.

I think this game does what its supposed to and does it well. Does it look terrible? yes, could there be more variety in architecture? yes. But its great otherwise, and the creation kit is not even out yet.

Now for those who like to call people "PC elitests" GTFO. PC is better in almost every way, will always be more powerful and more capable. The only thing consoles have is ease of use, all you have to do is pop a disk. Of course, if you can install a program you can game on a PC. GTFO thank you.

God this game is terrible in comparison with some of the others in the series. The game is small in comparison with the others even OBLIVION! Can I get a refund for this console-kiddie made game with no difficulty whatsoever? The graphics look worse than a game that came out in 2005! I mean come on! I don't pay $60 to play a game I could have back then. Bethesda just dropped the ball as they're disappointing their existing fanbase by trying to appeal to console kiddies with this simple generic crap. They have mission markers WHAT THE HELL. What happened to finding it yourself?

I won't be buying any of your stupid Downloadable content as this is just a cash cow.

I couldn't disagree with you more. Oblivion was the weak link in the series, and Skyrim has made up for it. If you think it's too easy then I suggest you adjust the difficulty slider or try playing as a mage.

While it's better in many ways than Oblivion and Morrowind, it has the crappiest magic system of the three, which makes them all about equal to me.

I find some things to be better and some things to be worse. All in all it seems to be par for the course.

The only thing I'm really disappointed in after all the hype about "we recoded so much of the engine its practically a brand new engine!!!!" is that the game is really still just Oblivion with better meshes and textures, and shorter story arcs (main quest, guild quests seem to be about half as fleshed out as in Oblivion). Sure the "radiant quests" is a neat addition and dragons have potential to be awesome once mod'ers can get in there and tweak them, but overall it feels very much the same as Oblivion, just with better artwork. Performance wise the game still runs fairly poorly on PC despite how unambitious the graphics are. We lost spellmaking and gained crafting, we lost attributes and gained perks.

I'm certainly not as wow'ed by the game as I expected to be but still overall happy with the vanilla game (PC port specific issues aside). Whether the game in the end is better or worse for me will depend on how the mod'ing turns out. If they ruin the mod-ability of the game with this Steam works integration I'll just go back to Oblivion for my TES fix when I need it and forget about Skyrim.

Agree 100% with what you said. For me it is the worst in the series (worse than Oblivion yes), but i still find it a great gaming experience.

I disagree, Oblivion was by far the worst in the series. I'd say skyrim is actually one of the better. Morrowind will still hold the top spot for me.
This. Skyrim certainly improves on Oblivion, and is better than what I've played of Daggerfall, but it still doesn't hold a candle to Morrowind. Two steps forward, one step backward.

You sound like a PC elitist.

believe me your in the minority here.
To console players like, all PC players seem like elitist simply because you people are... I better not finish this sentence because of mods.

You are not the fanbase :D You are just a fan ;) The most people of the fanbase are really happy with the game, just like me ^^
Maybe most are happy, but very large amount of people are not.

Not sure if troll

or just supid....
Nether.
He is just stating his opinion.

tl: dr

Were you at the oblivion launch? because I remember a large amount of QQ as well.

Modders will do what they have always done.
It's not up to mods to make a game good, but up to developers.

Wow, some people here really enjoy admitting that they are fan-boys/girls and enjoy bathing in their own drool. >_>
Honestly, people... grow a brain... like ASAP!
