I dislike the dwemer ruins. Everything is one color. Blah...
Most other dungeons to me, though, are incredible.
Can't believe some people think dungeons are drab.
The Dwemer Ruins in Skyrim are vastly better designed and decorated than the Ayleid Ruins in Oblivion. I mean, in Skyrim's Ruins there is trash that is centuries and millenia old from when the Dwemer lived there. The Ayleid Ruins are vacant. It's almost like when the Aylieds fell, the Empire sent in Merry Maids to make sure that they were clean.
I like the look of the Dwemer sites because it actually looks like they used to be inhabited. Not just barren stone walls with some traps and Bandit clutter.
But far and away the Falmer sites, any of them, are some of my favorite dungeons to explore. I find myself doing a crawl through a normal dungeon and praying that it opens up into a network of Falmer Hive tunnels! My Dunmer Assassin is level 36, and most dungeons are a cake-walk for me. The Falmer are difficult enough that once again, I have to think of strategy for each room, and even have to plan the correct order of which enemy to take out when, and do I use a bow or my daggers?
It's the fact that they are so well built that it forces me to use every single ability my character has just to reemerge into daylight that makes me love it so much. Plus, they are gorgeous. When I first emerged into Blackreach, I literally spent the first couple of minutes just turning in a slow 360 and just admiring the design!
Love to Bethesda for the thought that they put into this game!!!
