Well.... I'd have to say I'm a living testament to "no game is too much - even when you're almost 65" (which I am). Then again, I've been playing computer games since 1985 - with only one fairly major break when I went back to work in 2000 after having been "retired" since 1980 (I was adding an 80 mile round trip commute to a normal workday - I just didn't have the time or energy to play games in the evening....)
Here's a thought. Try a warrior type instead? You don't HAVE to think much with a warrior toon - you just beat on whatever's in front of you. If you're on PC, you can get a save game manager mod so you can hang onto your current toon while you try other builds.
Great! Glad to meet someone else nearly my age. My first computer game was Wizardry on the Apple -- early eighties, I think it was. I still look back on it with fondness: the start of my addiction.
I am getting better, so I thought I'd try a thief next, and then tackle a fighter. Luckily each one will last me for months and months, so I have a lot of enjoyment in my future.

Oh hey, dont feel too bad about being old and fragile. You'll find you get brought crumpets and little cups of tea with a bourbon biscit on the side. Plus there's that bit of getting sponge baths that you may like. You may not like the catheterisation angle though... or would you..
Bourbon biscuits -- yum! But if anyone comes toward me with a catheter, I'll Fus Ro Dah them!
