The WORST times in which you ran out of arrows...

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 9:39 am

Wait, you can run out of arrows? I sell them because I have too many and it just fills up my weapon inventory with all the varieties I have. I tried to use them but I end up just picking half of them back up.
I was thinking the same thing. I use one handed and shield, but I also use my bow alot and have never run out. I have huge stockpiles of Dwarven, Glass, Ancient, Elven, and some others.

Give one arrow, your best one, to your companion. If it's dwarven, elven, glass, ebony, whatever. Just one. The, every time she/he kills someothing or shoots at something, go pick up their arrows. They never run out. They will use that one single good arrow over and over and over, and before you know it, you've retrieved 30 or 40 said arrows from the environment and your companion still has that one.

Just thought i'd let you all know....
Ha! Thats bad ass.

Run out of arrows?

Never.

I keep all arrows I find on the enemy and stockpile them also picking up arrows I missed the target with. I have about 200 druegar arrows 60 glass arrows 300 iron arrows and misc other arrows I've picked up. (enemies, stealing, just lying around in a cave/dungeon/house) I have so many arrows that I don't know what to do with them all ;P

Never purchased arrows before either.
Exactly.

I snatch up the arrows I missed with and always check bodies. I'm kind of stingy about it. Don't think I'll take the "recover more arrows" perk unless I run out of other perks I want though. Haven't needed it so far...

Never have. I did once put them all in a chest and forgot to take some out. I am a bit obsessive about not carrying 1200 arrows around with me, so that was embarrassing.

There are so many arrows to be found though you should never run out. And every time you get shot more get added to your quiver. :)

Cant wait til they make a mod that the arrows do have weight, carry all you want but be ready to be overhauled. Weight on gold coins and arrows im looking forward to, many things needed to be fixed in realism mods.

That time I ran out of arrows when I was going to kill an adventurer. I only got one arrow in his knee, so I had to run away. Turns out he became a guardsman in Whiterun after that. What a twist....

Indeed, never understood the folks who start these threads like arrows are rare drops, do they not loot corpses? Due to some of these threads I actually loaded an arrow fletching mod prior to starting my Archer/Thief. First and last time I fletched arrows was at level 3. Now at level 32 have yet to touch the mod on this character, I find arrows everywhere.....

After my long search, I finally found it. The cave of knees. As I entered, I nearly fainted from the sight. Thousands and thousands of knees, ready to be shot in the knee. I opened my inventory, but what did I see? No iron arrows. No steel arrows. No arrows at all!

You can run out of arrows? I find it hard when every corpse has 30 or so....

ITT people don't realize there's a difference between Stell Arrow that does 10 damage and Daedric Arrow that does 24 damage.

I carry 30-50 arrows at any one time, once I get past 50 I just stop picking them up. Doesn't make sense to have 162636362727273646328812737 arrows on you at once.
6x sneak damage plus poison, I'm one-shotting most humanoids/wild animals with ease. The only things that give me trouble when I pull the bow out are Giants, Trolls and the odd Deathlord.
I use a legendary Glass bow and Falmer arrows, btw.

OT: ran out of arrows on a scavenging trip to a Draugr dungeon I hadn't been to yet, was stuck with nothing but my Elven dagger until I managed to scav some off the Draugr. Hairy stuff at Lv.32 on Expert :P

Never ever have I run out. I carry about around 1000 arrows, as no merchant wants to buy them all. I never use any other arrows than Steel and Iron anyways, as all the others look like crap.
I'm adding weight to arrows once the CK comes out.

it'a pretty challenging as a sneak type assasin with limited smithing (mid 20s) and the same with enchanting to fight your way on expert. facing only scourge and deathlords in the blody cripts. if you want to get by quick melee is needed as they spot you very fast, but a slow tactic will pull you trough eventualy

30 seconds after you bought everything the store had available, when you encounter an ancient dragon as a fairly pure archer.

Oh, we realize there's a numerical difference, but substantively speaking it doesn't matter a whit when fighting from concealment, since the multiplied damage from even a mid-tier bow makes the arrow used essentially irrelevant unless one is not using smithing. Hell, I use Iron arrows even when I have a Daedric Bow; I'm going to one-shot pretty much everything anyway and they're common as dirt, so there's no real reason to use the better arrows, even though I really should be.
