Change your play style completely. Try the empty handed bad-a** viking play through (you tube it). Try the million gold challenge. Run the crime spree acheivement/trophy, and then try to play on with out getting arrested or paying bribes. If you're done, you're done. If the ideas is to change the game so it's interesting again, maybe you need to change play style, cause the game will always be the same.......

I have no desire to play Skyrim anymore

So what;'s the problem? Take a break. My present destop has 3 sata storage drives, 2 500 gigs and 1 TB. It's very rare I delete games. I rotate amongst the list below cause if I play any game too long it gets boring. Only game I finished, start to finish was Witcher 2 (only because the story was so linear Point A to Point B and the pace was pretty fast). Easily finished in 15 hours

Thus far I have...

Fallout 3 heavily modded (never finished main quest)
Fallout New Vegas heavily modded (never finished main quest)
Deus Ex Human Revolution (never finished game)
Neverwinter Nights 2 (never finished main quest)
Baldurs Gate 2 and expansion (never finished main quest)
Starcraft 2 (never finished game)
Skyrim (never finished main quest)
Oblivion (never finished main quest)
Witcher 2 (Finished)
Witcher 1 (never finished main quest)

Sounds like the biggest problems are lag and freezing. Though I'm not sure how much of that is actually suffering and how much is nitpicking.

Having said that, you don't really seem motivated to play this type of game, maybe it's just not your thing?

I'd recommend the Witcher 2, of course you need a PC. Just a warning, posts like yours (and mine actually) are very strong trollbait.

Oh and if you are a console gamer, Saints Row the 3rd and Skyrim make an excellent cheese and wine so to speak.

I feel the same way you do although to a much lesser extent. I found myself dying to be immersed in a strong and gripping story amd picked up The Witcher 2 recently when steam had it crazy low priced. Excellent and refreshingly difficult game.

This is an awesome game. Great story, great gameplay. If I were you, I would just stop playing it and be done with it. Maybe you will come back to it again some day and it won't be such a chore...TW2= The BOMB...

BTW, this is exactly how I felt after 80 hours of FONV...So I just stopped and never bothered to play the game again.

The Witcher 2 is incredibly easy. The story is pretty good and it lasts for a moderate amount of time. Gameplay is just meh just roll around like a Hedgehog and swing every once and a while. The 1 v 1 Lupo encounter in the sunken tomb is the only fight that is intense.

Sounds like you're burned out regarding Skyrim. Don't play it. Problem solved, I take payment by cash or card.

Roleplay? Create new characters and try out different classes? Clear all the dungeons? Try to collect all the books in-game? My point being that there are a lot of things to do in Skyrim, and sometimes the best remedy is to just put down the game for a while... I still regularly re-play Oblivion and Morrrowind from time to time.

So after playing Skyrim for about 1 month, completing every guild and what seems hundreds of side quests, as well as the main quest, i have no desire whatsoever to play Skyrim again, it's just turned out to be boring. I have started new characters but i don't see the potential in playing through them anyway. I havn't touched the game in 3 weeks due to these problems aswell as horrible lagging and freezing problems. What should i do? Any ideas would be appreciated
Roleplaying and creating a new character would help.

I hate to say it but the op has a point. Don't get me wrong I love Skyrim and have also completed 95% of the content but I also did the same for Morrowind and Oblivion yet I never got tired of either of those two games, and yet here I find myself only awhile after release looking for reasons to return to Skyrim.

Oblivion still to this day keeps my interest and I play vanilla console no mods, I often return to it and get lost for hours at a time. Skyrim on the other hand doesn't seem to grasp that feeling... it's odd really but I can sorta relate.

What if you have a laptop?
Then may the good Lord pity you.

There are 3 truisms of the PC gaming world:

1. Never play a TES game on a Mac. This platform was never designed to play any kind of CPU/RAM/GPU intensive PC game. You're most likely going to be screwed in terms of game performance for the base game and any DLC.

2. Never play TES on a console. You're going to be screwed in terms of free game content and replay value from mods. You're probably also going to be screwed in terms of an adjustable GPU.

3. Never play TES on a laptop. They're impossible to upgrade and the hardware technology curve is exponential. You're basically screwed for the next generation of the TES installation.

If your game keeps freezing & lagging it could have been a bad install (an error during installation).
Try re-installing it. You might have to uninstall it or delete it first.
If that doesn't help, contact Bethesda Tech support as there may be a flaw in your copy of the game disc.

You should be thankful that you were able to pour hundreds of hours into a $60 investment.
