What's The Thalmors' Stance On The Manmer?

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 7:41 am

yes and no the problem is that Bretons are part man as such are still connected to lorkhan to unmake mundas they must be rid of all men unlike the beast races which are not part of lorkhan

also i agree with the stance that they would dispise bretons more then men for being half breds
they look down on everyone yes! BUT they hate men

as long as men breave they are stuck here in their limited form remember to them Mundas is a prison and its men keeping them there
then you have a group of elves who did the deed with their jailers so to speak

i believe they would view it as betrayal breton anncestors iterally slept with their enemy

I know that the Thalmor wish to destroy Mundus by destroying mankind and the towers that hold them there but they have a big imposing empire in the way so wouldn't making allies with their enemies be usufull to destroying the bigger enemies, because they could just turn on them once they were done destroying the Empire and any other humans that stop them fom achieving their goals?

I don't remember very much, so forgive any loremistakes, but as I have understood it the gods(not sure which) made the elves, but Azura tricked or persuaded a group of them to follow her and made them feline to add to their beauty. Of course this can just be my bad memory and be complete hogwash.
Azura was given two gifts too be able too change two races by Padomay, first Azura changed the Khajiit too reflect on her dominion of Moon and Star, and second the Chimer which she cursed and turned into Dunmer. I'm not sure but I think Hircine had a hand with the Khajiit.

That's about how it went. And some other god tried to do the same and failed, which created the Bosmer and that is why they are constantly at each others thoaths. "Words of clan-mother Ahnissi" IIRC was the name of the book that tells the Khajiiti version of the Monomyth.
Bosmer are Kynareths changed people, Kynareth was jealous of Azura and changed the Bosmer too reflect her dominion of nature, hence their association with trees.

If they succeed on killing every human, they will attack the beast races next. It's all part of the plan to make themseleves immortal.
There's no need. Once man is dead and Talos ceases to be divine, they just have to deactivate the Throat and reality is unmade. This will likely mean the same thing for the Khajiit as the Mer, since they are altered Bosmer according to some legends, which means they will return to their pre-mundus divine forms. It's not clear what the Hist (and thus the Argonians) originate from, but they were likely a strongly-Padomaic aedric entity pre-creation as well.

The only peoples that need to die are the fragments of Lorkhan, ie humans.

Edit: My example had no relevance to the original post. I'm an idiot.

Thalmor stance on Bretons:

As far as their long term plans go, they are viewed as a race of men by both men and mer. Hence their fate is the same as other men. (No one, apparently, has bothered to ask how the Argonians see them.) However, as the most magical human race they are looked upon with a faint tinge of respect. One Altmer notes that a certain court mage has a grasp of magical theory he would not expect in a human -- "even a Breton."

Another issue for the Thalmor, incidently, is that Bretons make the best spies. The Thalmor seem to value their intelligence network. I would not be at all surprised if they saw the Bretons as a threat on that level, but this isn't the sort of problem that invading High Rock would help with -- quite the reverse, really.

In their eyes, the Bretons are polluted with the blood of Men, as are Bosmer. And the Dunmer are cursed.

So... GENOCIDE FOR EVERYONE!
