What's The Thalmors' Stance On The Manmer?

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 7:24 pm

I have to ask, what do the Thalmor think of the Manmer? (Manmer: Breton)

Do the Thalmor wish to wipe out the Breton due to their human ancestory or unite them becuase of their Elven ancestory?

The Thalmor , ultimately, want to wipe out EVERYTHING and return to a pre-Mundus existence where their souls were an immortal blob.

Besides, I'm sure they find the idea of any sort of copulation between elves and humans utterly repulsive.

A good question, but I believe they are concidered lesser being simply for not being of pure aldmeri ancestry, like they concider all non-Altmer races lesser.

Probably green with envy that the Dwemer found a way to leave the mortal plane already :P

T'is true, but they seem to be pro mer, so in my mind I assume they would unite the manmer but then later turn on them and utterly destroy them.

I also believe that their human ancestry would put them on the same line as Imperials, Nords and Reguards, or just slightly above. I just can't see the Thalmor making friends with them.

They might very well be jealous, but then again the Thalmor might think they are on some lessor plain of existence somewhere.

I don't think the Ayleids (Heartland High Elves) got along with the Dwemer, so probably not good.

I wouldn't say Nords or Redguards, Imperials and Bretons are the mongrel races of the man side.

Nords are pure human and so are redguards since they were the first humans to arrive on Tamriel, but other races beat them to it obviously, was it the Beast folk that were native to Tamriel or was it the Alyieds?

Yeah, but pure human is as bad as it gets for the Thalmor as I have understood it.

Aylieds are the first ones to appear in recorded history inCyrodiil.
The Thalmor hate them all, they think they are all beneath them, I do think they hate the races of man worse.

Yeah I know, the Thalmor have probably made it their lifes work to destroy the pure humans, after they will probably try and conquer Yakuda, Atmora and Akavir.

IIRC Yokuda is more or less destroyed, Atmora is now inhabitable and the human races of Akavir was killed by the Tsaesci long before the fourth age. I cannot confirn that though.

To answer about the first races on Tamriel.

The latest archaeological study, using divination and sorcery, of the Direnni Tower on the Isle of Balfiera in High Rock has dated its construction at around ME 2500, making it the oldest known structure in Tamriel. The earliest known date in Aldmeri history.

The beast races did live on the land in the early Merethic Era.

They did include the Khajiit in their dominion so I guess. I have no idea what they think of Argonians though, seeing as the Khajiit is supposed to be elves Azura(or at least I think it was Azura) had a bit of fun with.
