Dragon priest masks: Gain or vain?

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 11:59 pm

Personally I only have one more mask to obtain.

To begin with I just did it as entertainment and because of the fact that some of the masks got som pretty sweet stats.

Why do you guys collect them, if at all?
Are they just plain achivement or does the final mask open anything questwise?

I collected them for the collection aesthetic. It's just how I play. I like having complete sets and "complete" stats. I never wore or used any of them.

I know right, no achievement.

I wanna know where the gold one is. I've found like 4 so far across all my characters & still no gold.

You have to collect the eight other masks and put them on their pedestal in Labyrinthian to get the gold one.

They can. Just take them to a workbench to see what kind of ingot's needed to upgrade them. Or hey, look at this list. Hevnoraak -> Iron Konahrik -> Gold Krosis -> Iron Morokei -> Refined Moonstone Nahkriin -> Ebony Otar -> Refined Malachite Rahhot -> Orichalcum Vokun -> Iron Volsung -> Corundum

Thanks!

And exactly :)

I use the alchemy one for making potions, and Volsung for swimming, I have Morokei but i dont use it,and I just spent the last 2 evenings in Valthume... all that work, had to have been 12+ Draugr Deathlords, and finally the mask which... prevents disease? Omg, that is why I have my posckets stuffed with hawk feathers and cure disease potions. I'm not gonna go running around with it on all the so a wolf doesnt give me rockjoint. Lamesauce kinda. I do want to put them all on the thing in Labrynthian and see what thats like.

Display them at the time-shrine in Labrynthian, no? That place is awesome cool. Gives me shivers every time I think about where I am.

What do you mean? I'm not to clear on what is happening when you go to that special mask room... could you elaborate?

At labyrinthian (outside of the actual dungeon) there are ruins and buildings covered with snow etc.
Inside one of them, you'll find the dragon priest shrine.
Put on the wooden mask which lies on the ground at the very shrine, and you'll be teleported or transformed into another world.
Then put all of the dragon priests masks to their respective containers, which will open the mask above them all.
After doing so, you'll be able to retain all of the masks, and the job's done.
