Don't believe you OP.

Besides you come across as boastful and accusatory to anyone that does actually have issues.

You're about as credible as the sea of bethesda defenders that claimed 1.2 caused no problems at all, til they cast flames on a Fire spirit and it worked during which a dragon fly backwards though the background and the Jarl of Windhelm told them they couldn't buy a house and ordered the Markarth guards to attack them on sight. But still maintained it was all fine and "normal".
Only slightly more credible then the claims this game is made for Xbox 360 when I've come across every bug going.

Sea of teen rage? Why would any advlt have an issue with a product they paid money for not functioning as it should.
People aren't lying about bugs in this game, frankly to even suggest as much is obsurd when bethesda are well known for the buggiest releases in games.
The last line takes out the last leg of your "defense", if you are on PC (or even if your not the coding issues don't cease to exist on consoles) theres a well known patch, highly popular for cleaning up the game allowing it to run smoother, you still want to maintain your game runs flawlessly?

To make a post to whine about complains, call people lairs and make such high claims is just...ugh, you sound no different from the people in the fake quotes you use to bash anyone with a complaint.

I actually think it may be Mr Hines in disguise doing damage limitation..

Hey look everybody-------My game is flawless, quick, tell the press that theres nothing wrong with our game - Bethesda are the greatest developers ever and anybody who says otherwise is a lying troll just out to get us.

Snip

Or maybe you are from Interplay, trying to spread rumours that this flawless masterpiece which is Skyrim, a game with no bugs or design flaws, is somehow less than perfect out of spite? Eh?

Quest bugs are probably most common for people who quest erratically, especially with the chain quests. I'd imagine if you did a notoriously buggy chain like the theives guild straight through you won't get much bugs, but if you're constantly breaking to do different chains or side-quests bad things could happen. A lot of people likely end up interweaving 4 or 5 different chains that end up effecting each other in unexpected and unforeseeable ways.

Frankly, never heard of a bug free video game that was any more complicated than say, checkers. With a game this complex, I expect bugs, and hope the developers will put out fixes, and if not them, modders. One of the main reasons I frequent these forums is to find out how to deal with bugs.

I had a bug where, during the MQ, I fell through the floor of Dragonsreach while freeing Parthenax, and I was floating around an unrendered Whiterun.
Among many, many other minor issues. This game definitely has more bugs than Morrowind and Oblivion do in the current state, you may not run into them but that doesn't mean they aren't there.

Don't forget to pick the nirn-root! It goes nuclear if you just leave it alone-

The game is full of little bugs, the longer you play the more you will notice cropping up. People should report them in Bugs forum, maybe Bethesda will notice if enough people mention the same thing and include fixes in later patches.

In a free roaming, sandbox game, what on earth does this mean? I thought the point was that you could play how YOU wanted to, are you saying that's wrong and everyone should play in some linear fashion?

I've been astonished the game has been so stable and bug free, honestly. I've had very few problems. I've had a handful of crashes over 300+ hours of play and had exactly one broken quest (resulting from a radiant quest sending me to a place I had already cleared).

However, I have no doubt others are having problems. I was on the other side with Fallout New Vegas. Had constant problems and crashes while others were claiming that their games were just fine.

Title.

Having read these forums, it just perplexes me.

"OH GOD, THIS QUEST BROKE THIS QUEST AND AWWW LAWDY"

"MY GAME IS BROKEN, MQ BUGGED, FFS BETH FIXFIXFIX"

"L2PATCH BETH GAME IS UNPLAYABLE"

Am I the only person who got a bug free copy of this game?

Thieves guild
Dark Brotherhood
College of Winterhold
Companions
Main Quest
All Daedric Shrine quest
Most actual questlines throughout the cities, including Blood on the Ice
230 hours of gameplay thus far

All completed, and how many bugs/glitches have I come across? How many quest bugs resorted me to restarting?

Zero. Absolutely none, as God is my witness. None.

Reading these forums, and seeing this sea of teen rage, I have come to one of two conclusions: either you are ALL lying/exaggerating regarding the severity of these bugs, or I am the luckiest son of a nutcracker on the face of this planet, because my game runs absolutely flawlessly.

I have had very few bug issues in Skyrim that were not generated through carelessness on my part or that of my computer. I haven't CTD-ed since the official LAA went live... I had a long string of bad luck with horrendous framerates, but that was self-generated in that I shouldn't have trusted a driver update to preserve settings necessary for my display (Turns out that just because a graphics card is telling a 1080p HDTV that it is a 1920x1080 MONITOR, it doesn't mean the HDTV will actually agree. It really just stays a very grumpy HDTV...)

As far as actual in-game bugs/glitches, I have really only seen a handful of minor gravity-glitches.. Just outside of Markarth, I have a cart that is floating airborne approximately 25 feet up in the air, and it stays there no matter what, being unable to be manually reached, and unable to be moved by spells or arrows... Currently, my best tale of glitching is that of the strongest butterfly. I was out a little east of Whiterun, harvesting various alchemical ingredients. Which meant that eventually I began driving myself batty chasing around the hundreds of butterflies that congregate there... I managed to focus in on one of them, and managed to chase the little guy into a small pack of elk. The butterfly managed to fly down near the ground immediately in front of one of the elk, and somehow the elk managed to "step on" the butterfly as it turned to run from me. Amazingly, the butterfly, upon taking flight again, managed to lift the elk, and carry it airborne as it flew away. Now that's a ****ing strong butterfly. I decided to let him go... After all, if he can pick up a grown elk, he can probably beat the crap out of a poor little Dovahkiin...

As to game-breaking bugs, I have yet to meet one...

bards college? that was bugged for almost everyone by not being able to drop certain quest items after completing it. If any quest item is stuck in your inventory, though it may be minor, it's a bug.

things like weapon racks and dummies not working may not be game breaking but they are still bugs. Just because you've been able to complete those quests doesn't mean your copy of skyrim is completely glitch free.

I havent had any major quest bugs. Just the
Spoiler
bards quest where you help choose the lines in the poem, then the guy disregards the choices
. Otherwise its just the fact that Aela sometimes spawns a hunting bow and wont wear the glass bow I made her (console fix), and some graphics glitches when I tab out too many times.

edit: Wide world rpg's like this have historically had the most bugs of all games. How many times did people fall through the world in daggerfall? You could not play that game without it happening, and often. And yet we still loved it.

Not too many bugs but the graphics have taken a major hit with pop-up and rendering draw distance.

I can think of more critical bugs that depend on the player's build (so they'd obviously go unnoticed by a lot of people).

Play a Conjurer who's activated the Atronach stone and tell me that it doesn't break summons.
Play a shield-user with the Quick Reflexes perk and tell me that it works consistently, that the slow-time effect never gets stuck on much longer than it should
Play a thief and tell me that Pickpocket chances never drop when a Pickpocketing potion or item is used

All bugs that have been confirmed by numerous reports. And they're not caused by having an old processor.

The only time I've ever used the console was when I completed a quest to find some gear and guess what? It was just gone. The quest completed and it just wasn't there. I checked online, it was a documented bug. I double checked everywhere to make sure that there wasn't any way I could revert saves or whatever the case may be to correctly advance the quest, then I used the console to bequeath myself the gear. I felt ashamed and dirty.

You may be a little lucky. I am 115 hours in with one character and 100 hours in with another, and apart from occasional graphical glitches, some lag (PS3) and rare freezes, I have had one questbreaking bug in the Companions questline where I had to reload a prior save and follow the instructions on the USEP site to clear up a quest conflict in order to get the Purity of Revenge quest to start.

A lot of people complain loudly and often about the bugs, it is true. But there are plenty of bugs there that need to be fixed. I just wish the USEP folks would list all quest bugs on one page with minimum spoilers, so you could avoid them without having to read all about every quest. For some reason the people who run the USEP refuse to do this. The have a known bug page but won't put quest bugs on it. They make you read every individual quest page if you want to learn about the quest bugs.
