Here's a strange thought - What if the Falmer are the Dwemer? In other words the Dwemer devolved into the Falmer because of whatever thing it was they tried to that failed and caused them to disappear?

not a bad thoughgt but it cant be, because the Snow Elf devolved into the Falmer, and they look very similar with the blue skin, and the Dwemer are known to have just dissapeared, no one knows where, and maybe for the expansion they could include something for what happens to the Dwemer seeing as their ruins appear frequently in Skyrim.

I think there will be a war between the Thalmor (Maybe you can side with them instead as a High Elf?) & Stormcloaks/Imperials (which ever side you picked in the civil war) and if youre with the Stormcloaks, you will simply defeat the Thalmor in skyrim bad enough that they wont return, while as Imperials, Maybe the Empire will gop to full blown war with the Dominion again, and possibly lose. While if you can side with tHalmor as a High Elf (Though, I cant see Thalmor guards replacing the regular ones, but, I dont know)

that would be good as i think the expansion should follow up on the civil war and have the thalmor coming to skyrim if you sided with the stormcloaks and having to battle them; or it could be programmed that the thalmor win. and if your with the imperials, and you defeat the stormcloaks, the thalmor kill tullius and take over skyrim.
and yeah i would like the option to be a thalmor if you are a high elf that is.
also a faction where only elves are allowed, high elves too, but no thalmor.

I imagine they will make a couple of different types of expansion. One will probably be a large quest-faction based in Skyrim (like Knights of the Nine from Oblivion, or Broken Steal for Fallout3), and the other will be a new land to explore (like Shivering Isles, or Point Lookout).
