Gold... it's useless?

Uh - really? Maybe because currency in almost every single RPG is used to progress your character? You buy better items, spells, etc.

Right, but if you are not roleplaying and you already have the best gear through your own crafting, then why does it bother you that your character has amassed a great fortune with nothing to spend it on?

Yes, but money does not matter from the get-go. What you can buy, is worthless as found loot or particularly crafted loot is FAR better. This doesn't occur at like level 50 or late game but around level 15...I don't care about an economic system, I just want stuff I can spend my money on that gives me a benefit. Not forced to, just an option. That is non-existant in Skyrim and could easily be included to give more longevity to the game.

Crafted loot may be better if you have put perk points into crafting, but found loot does not seem to be any better (or worse) than what you can buy. If you forego enchanting, then there is a lot of good gear to be found at merchants, at least up to level 40 or so, which is as far as I have gotten with any of my characters.

Just refrain from selling stuff.

Put a bucket in your house and fill it with gems, another with soul gems, etc.

It's actually pretty satisfying seeing a bucket full of rubies. emeralds and diamonds in your house.

Then take a room, like the unused room in the downstairs of Honeyside, and fill it with something random. I filled mine with iron helmets. :D

It's easy to waste a lot of money on training. Go improve your two-handed skill and $4K per pop.

I have over a million. I decided to make http://www.nerdnexus.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/scrooge_mcduck.jpg, but the game crashed after about 2000 coins dropped.

Thank you. Made my day reading what you wrote and then looking at the pic. Gotta laugh like that once a day, maybe I'm the only 1.
