200 hours in and I'm still stopping in awe or exclaiming out

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 5:55 pm

I stopped being in awe after the first couple hours and most of its beautiful landscape is undermined by the absolutely pitiful draw distances (http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk173/huMAnity_dues/2012-02-01_00001.jpg), even despite the fact that I'm operating at max settings.

Your settings are wrong. Look up ugridstoload .... and reduce fBlockLevel0Distance by a lot, so you don't see tiling textures.

I 100% agree with the OP. I get this experience everytime I log into the game and I am over 220 hours played. So does my son on his xbox who probbaly has 300+ hour slogged. He will literally run out of his room several times a play seesion to come and get me to show somehting new hes has found.

I have been killed on many occasions by complete suprise which made me like this game even more. I have never played any game that can do this repeatedly much after 50+ play hours let alone 200. Everytime I play I find, see, or hear something new. This game is amazing.

Some of you will complain about everything and make up things to complain about simply because you feel empty when you are not filled with negativity. Some of you are rediculous and will always be disappointed because you simply change your expectations at a whim when the expactations you previoulsy had have been met and you need something to belittle. You make comparisions to games and sitiuations that you have somehow twisted in your head to be something far greater than it actullay was or ever could be.

I figured some of you consumate complainers out what you want out of Skyrim isnt simply a game or game ecperience it is a life. I am sorry to say that this is only a game and you will not find a life within it. You have to go outside and join the real world to find and create one of those yourself. I know its hard because unlike a game life cannot be simplifed and optimized by a certain rule set.

Did both of those before. Draw distance is still terrible and the game decidedly crashes more.

I'm also lost due to your reply, Maybe we can help eachother as you just confused me with your vagueness.

I'm not knocking other peoples experiences, I just have not experienced anything like what has been suggested after a lot of hours trying to & i struggle to accept that these unique NPC's & dungeons are really as unique as people make out.
So relax a bit.

Sigh. More irony as I'm the relaxed one, if you didnt notice the "lol", or understood what it means. Nobody said you were "knocking" other peoples experiences. You are questioning them. Your opinion is full of bitterness, or implies it, towards others experiences.("I havent, so how cant they?!" attitude) Why? To troll, or just plain unintelligence, You cant do something for 600 hours, in the amount of time we all had the game, and question why people enjoy it. It makes no sense. Its like Brett Favre questioning why people love football.

The default reply of a fool, Implying that i'm a troll or just plain lacking intelligence just confirms to me that those insulting terms you used to flick mud in my direction fit you very well indeed.
I will say it slowly for your benefit, I never questioned why people enjoy it only that i could not see it for myself after searching for a long time.

Or to put it bluntly, Much less easily pleased than most.

Actually you are knocking other people's experiences. Why even post in this thread out of the hundreds (thousands) that exist? Because you had to knock it.... Obviously it is my opinion and not "fact" .... but trolls can't leave any thread "on topic" they hijack it about other issues (like BF3) or get all sarcastic, cynical and make implied insults (like simple minded or rose colored glasses etc.) when I never insulted anyone to start - just posted my opinion and my gratitude. That, sir, is why you are a troll and an immature thread hijacker. Bye.

I've asked a moderator to lock this.... one more thread that simply tried to be positive and thankful ruined by immature trolls who have to hijack even if no comparisons or 'bait' is given. Sigh.
