Dungeon delving in a dress

Dont be like that.

Swapping the red and green coloured keys on the next Iphone would be a trivial change...but a massive problem!

So too, universal outfits could one day mean we cant wear seperate greaves and cuir......uh..........well you saw how that turned out.

I don't have an Iphone but if we are talking about the answer/decline buttons it wouldn't be that big of a deal. Like most things dealing with muscle memory people would get over it, however you'd hear a ton of people complaining about it and Steve Jobs would probably smite who ever made that change as he most likely had some grand reason relating to the golden ration for why they were where they were.

I understand the complaint that we don't have pants anymore as that limits the amount of enchants, but honestly... clothes? That's this huge game breaking problem?

Fur armour or something? It can look like normal clothes, just warm enough for adventuring out in chilly Skyrim ;)

This is true, but I don't see mage's robes being practical either - though better than a dress, I'll give you that. In my mind, I'd like something akin to this, sans cloak:

No, with the cloak. There's a distinct lack of cloaks in this game.

My male characters can't wear dresses either. So yeah - I can marry another bloke, but I'm screwed if I want to look pretty for him...

ROFL...

I finally got Calder the Housecarl, and never went back to Hjerim because he looked like he was giving me the eye...

I started a new game, and by the time I got to Riverwood, I was certain that Hadvar had a crush on my big burly nord character...who I might add, is so ugly that I think Hadvar might be his only potential love interest. I spent ages working on this dude to get that rugged nord look, but when I took a decent squiz at him in-game, he's a big hulking beer bellied thug with a pimply ruddy face and a big boozy red nose...which probably fits in with the nord culture actually. Anyway, he's about to get the delete tonight, he's just too fur king ugly.

One of the two types of Fine Clothes has pants on the female version. The one that sort of looks quilted and comes in blue or brown.

In http://www.burnsson.ch/sylvara/monkeys/partyclothes02.jpg, it's the second from the right. You can always get a set at the clothier in Solitude, or find them in dungeons.

The Roughspun Tunic has pants for women, both version of the Miner's Clothes as well. There's also another set, just called "Clothes" which has pants and looks great on female characters. My Bosmer lady wears it a lot.

Here's a link: http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20111230233741/elderscrolls/images/thumb/4/4f/Clothes_f1229.jpg/210px-Clothes_f1229.jpg

Ooh they look good. I will have to have a look out for those.

It would also be nice to have some warm clothes to wear for when visiting the colder places (Like my home in Windhelm and my retreat that is near there) so that my character does not die of hyperthermia.

The Hammerfell Garb has pants for the ladies, and also looks pretty adventurer-ish. It can be bough at Radiant Raiment or looted off particular Redguard warriors you meet in a particular quest.
Here's a http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/elderscrolls/images/a/a9/Hammerfell_Garb_7bc19.jpg I found of a human female wearing it.

Maybe that could have been more delicately expressed

Awesome! This is perfect. Pants and a cape? More than I could have hoped for.

Your character starts with pants.

The only pants I can wear are the ones that come with the shirt. I out grew Garanimals clothing a long time ago.

Not bad. Still would be nice to have trouser versions of some of the regular clothing, especially when there's ones called "tunic" that turn into dresses anyway... I felt cheated when I came across those.
