Are you wearing something for its story value?

I always play a Dunmer, well ever since Morrowind on the first Xbox. In that, I was a 2h Greatsword heavy armor user. I also collect 1 copy of every book, keeps every note he finds, DB assassination note, journals he finds; if it's a book of some sort, he'll collect it. I also cherish the items that npc's give me as rewards, and I never sell them. I always like to put them on display if I'm able.

I like collecting Interesting Artifacts, whether Daedric or just an interesting piece found in the world. Whenever married, I actually wear the ring, but if I find or gain a ring that will benefit his skillset, then I'll just keep it in the inventory.

Prill basically has been the same type of character (as well as name, used it from Morrowind through Oblivion to the present in Skyrim) since I first created him a long time ago, except now he's got warrior tattoo (like Farkas) making him look more severe.

He's a Stormcloak for sure. Even though he's a Dunmer, he feels for the Nords that have taken up the Stormcloak cause. He has seen how the Empire uses up the provinces, leaving Cyrodil rich while the other provinces whither. He's not a sellsword, but fits more into what the companions were back when they were more honorable. He's only had the wolfs blood for a short time, but has taken to it much like Skjor and Aela have.

Prill tries to be as honorable as he can, helping those he feels actually needs help. He will see an action to it's outcome, no matter which way the forks led him; an end is an end to him, there really is no evil or good end to anything, just the end.

My little Breton Girl is Level 44 and still uses the Ancient Nord Greatsword that she picked up in Bleak Falls Barrow.
(She was supposed to be a pure mage, but when she kept running out of Magicka, she had to defend herself somehow.)

Sometimes. I tend to take off my helmet when I enter cities. When at the mage's college I tend to put on my robes, though I ditch them in favor of armor as soon as I leave the grounds. I carry my Axe of Whiterun when in Whiterun and silently curse when Nazeem doesn't notice and start groveling. I never throw away or sell things given to me by important people, I usually stow them away in my house.

I wear wolf armour 24/7 because it looks badass, and because my character is a proud companion.

My savage Nord wears the most basic fur armor with hide bracers and fur boots, completed with copper circlet and steel battleaxe.

Heavy suits of armor are not for him, as he relies on his speed, agility and strength to destroy his foes ;)

I`m not wearing anything for story value, but I do carry a sword for it`s story value from a quest.

The sword isn`t even that good, I have better and I don`t really have the skill in it as it`s a single blade where I am skilled in 2-handed.

But I like the story behind it; it has a point and a meaning which means more to me than having a `uber` weapon from nowhere.

I have used the same enchanted steel warhammer I made early in the game called Crusaders Might. It turns weak undead and is my weapon of choice.

Vriddi always wears her wedding ring. What sort of (use your imagination) wouldn't. I do use a mod so she can wear another ring as well. She also wears the Token of Kyne although she could enchant something more useful herself.

I always carry it once a character is married, but it's never equipped as there are better rings for gameplay obviously.

Also, it may seem weird but I kept the roughspun tunic and and that other piece of clothing for your feet at the beginning of the game (can't remember the name) just as a reminder of where I came from, and how far I've gone. On my mage character I will enchant them both like crazy, along with a circlet, and I'll do the Civil War quest for the Stormcloaks dressed as the "King of Prisonners", slaughtering every Imperial I see along the way.

Never forget ;-)

I had forgotten what armor I was wearing when I saved it before making my quoted post, and wanted to make a correction. I have Prill wearing light armor, it seems to fit better with an elvish frame, at least in my opinion of what I think elves would wear.

I actually like the look of the Thalmor robes, and the Elven armor set. I really like all the different Fur armor styles as well which brings me to another point that I read on this forum: you can wear whatever armor set you like the look of, because with smithing you can upgrade it constantly and make it better by crafting it. I read that a guy had stupid high numbers on a fur set just to see if he could do it, something like 800 AR for gloves and boots (I'm paraphrasing). I find it nice that the player has the ability to do that.

It may seem game breaking, and something Bethesda may not have wanted to be possible, but I just like the ability to pick the armor set or weapon type, and be able to use it through out the entire game. Same goes for the story based items we like to keep ahold of. Nothing and no one can tell you the player that you can't wear that or use this for any reason. It's your story, your game, your character so you are able to do essentially whatever you want with it within the scope of the game.

I've hung onto some Thalmor robes... during my first visit to Markarth I fell into conversation with the Thalmor emissary in the palace. He struck me as a bit of an arsehole even by elven standards. Making it a personal quest, I was finally able to steath-snipe him from behind a pillar, steal his clothes, and get away undetected. It seemed both a right proper and Khajiit-ey thing to do.

To this day they adorn my house in Riften... where my Argonian spouse constantly knocks them off the table and kicks them about the floor when I'm not parading about in them.

I always carry amulets of Mara, Dibella and Kynareth, a statue of Dibella, and Kyne's Token. Proper respect for the Wives of Shor.

I wear Tullius' outfit because I like to presume that after Imperial victory in the CW, I have been promoted from Legate to General. Seems like a more fitting prize than Tullius' "Dwarven Sword of Frost" or whatever lame item I got ingame for winning the war.

Good point. In my game as a Nord warrior though, I put Tullius' outfit on my mannequin in Hjerim as a "trophy" display. :shifty:

Lol, I keep a Stormcloak soldier and officer outfit on my mannequins in Hjerim for the same reason. ;)
