If you could remove one thing from the game, what would it be?

Myself.

People talking to you when you pass anywhere near them.

Great mod. You can pick no greetings or just reduce the distance where you have to be right next to them before they talk to you. I consider it a necessary mod to play this game.

There's this one bush of mountain flowers on the road from Riften to Windhelm. You know the one I mean. I want it gone.

Also, I love threads like this, because it inevitably shows that if the design team listened to every "H4rdc0r3 Fan™", they'd never create a game.

Agreed. However, to remove the streamlining you would have to pretty much scrap the game and start over.

No all you would need are a few adjustments to the creation kit i.e the ability to add new animations instead of editing existing one, and the ability to create perk trees instead of editing existing ones...

I would remove getting shot in the knee from a bandit and dying just from that one shot. That gets really annoying after like the 20th time.

3D map is awkward. I'd like the ability to toggle it off (into a 2D map) or there should, at the very least be a default "ovehead" map view that emulates a 2D map with north at the top.

There should also be an overlay that shows the roads and paths that you have walked so you can travel the same road again if needed and use the map marker to set waypoints, because with the mountains a straight line is almost never the best path.

I understand topography is more of a factor in this game and it helps you navigate when there's an unclimbable mountain between you and your destination.

Also I'd like the ability to zoom all the way out so I can see the entire map.

You're getting one-shotted by bandits?

I'm pretty sure there's something more to that story...

The fact that 10 butterfly wings, from 5 butterflies, weigh as much as a gold bar.

Essential generals.

Tied with that is the removal of people who [censored] about streamlining and fast travel. I'd remove them, too. But since there's no mod for that, I'll stick with my first answer.
