wuts the point of vampires?

Vampires with the nercomage perk are amazing. Playing one for the first time now and now I'll be trying to reach 70 restoration with every future character asap. The incredible benefits from just 1 perk change vampires from cool to sub zero.

As an illusionist too it is very helpful to have vampirism extend the level at which I can calm/fury enemies. Feeding is very easy too you can just ask a follower to sleep or cast invisibilty and feed on anybody undetected.

Vampire with necromage gives 25%+ to almost all active effects and 25%+ weakness to fire. The pros FAR outweigh the cons

i'm looking forward to playing a vampire on a future DiD. with the appropriate perks/skills it looks to be pretty badass.

Sounds like "if you have the right perks" vamps = uber, if not... frustrating. This is expected in a TES game.

Being a vampire has made me engage with the game more because I have to be aware of what time it is and how much time has passed since I last fed. Before I was a vampire I paid little attention to this.

Kind of like a realistic hunger mod. I may need to become a vampire just for this.

It even works on some perks, provided you take them after you take the necromage perk.

Which perks should I hold off on until after I get necromage? My restoration is only 50 or so and I have not yet become a vampire with my dunmer nightblade, but it has always been part of the plan.

I wouldn't actually want Vampirism to be considered ultimately useful, I would expect it more of a curse.
We don't need people going around saying "Can i haz vampire too?"

The thing that really annoyed me is that the Sun didn't burn you, it only made you weaker >:|
I liked Oblivions vampires, although they weren't perfect. It was quite an adventure doing the quest to cure yourself rather then just Get a full Black soul gem.

Yeah, it was a neverending adventure to cure yourself in Oblivion if you were on a PS3.

That's for damn sure, but I liked it because it made me really think about whether or not I wanted to be a vampire forever.

They are useless, I remember the good ole days when they added extra jumping height to a character........But in Skyrim, They remind me of this movie's audience.............

Vampirism is not supposed to be an easy path to power. It is supposed to be a CURSE with negative effects. You are trading your humanity for power. Hagravens did the same for power. What makes vampires great predators though is they can blend in right with their prey.

Lucky for you that you knew the Oblivion cure quest was bugged (and would never be fixed) before you became a vampire.

For my first character I didn't, but that one got deleted by accident, and when I made my third character I decided to become one knowing it would be permanent.

well apparently being a vampire allows you to become stronger. I forget how to do it but there are certain ways to use their weaknesses towards certain things to actually boost enchanments on yourself and things like that. The strongest character possible has to be a vampire i think. in order to get the best armor possible. i forget hwo to do it tho0ugh but if u look back on these forums ...a little less than a week ago some guy posted how to do it.

I have a level 56 Dark Elf and he is kinda OP, one shots Sabre Cats etc and that's without hanging 40%+ of baubles on him.

The only thing that gives me a hard time, outside of Ancients, are high level vampires. Briars i just eat.

Thats an unknown at this point.
There are some threads floating around about necromage vampires where people have done some testing.
From what I remember, the perks that give a flat out percentage gain in something are affected.
