Feeding is easy.
There are guard barracks in every major town with sleeping guards.
There are also remote areas such as farms or the hunter's rest.
The point?
All your illusion spells work 25% better, this includes the levels on which spells like frenzy or calm work. The effect is applied after illusion perks which raise the level at which spells stop becoming useful, so its quite a powerful boost.
Then there is the amazing synergy with the level 70 restoration necromage perk.
It makes all your spells more potent against undead. And you are undead.
This means that everything the game considers as a spell will be amplified.
Spells like conjure flame atronach will last 90 seconds instead of 60. All your potions will be more powerful.
You will be able to thrall more powerful enemies, such as a master necromancer, or volikhar master vampire.
The blessing of Dibella raises your speechcraft 15 points instead of 10.
It even works on some perks, provided you take them after you take the necromage perk.
The downsides of reduced stamina, health, magicka regeneration and weakness to fire?
It works as a sort of hardcoe mode, you have to think about your actions as stuff doesnt automatically regenerate.
Or, if you prefer, these downsides are easily countered with enchanting, and your enchantments also increase in power from necromage.
Id have grown weary of Skyrim a while ago without this, but Im now playing a vampire who has been one from level 15 or so, got necromage as soon as I could, and Im loving it.
