I prefer Lycanthropy, but Vampirism is extremely effective if you're going to be playing a Nightblade.

Regardless of what happened I am glad they are in the game, it gives me something to worry about, they're dangerous.

Same goes for horses actually.
Even though I would never use a horse in Skyrim Im glad they are in the game because:
-They are beautiful, fit the environment and the game would be a poorer one without them.
-It shows Bethesda does listen.

I love my vampire she is the best build I have made. I rarely feed unless I'm questing. The challenge is fun

Seen it. Don't expect Bethesda will make ALL of those features available to the game.

.... or will they? I don't really know.

wierd thing is you drink blood to become a werewolf, to become a vampire a different vampire ahs to shoot a beam at you for a bit until you get an annoying disease....

Eh, my problem with Skyrim's vampires is that they seem more similiar to Cyrodil's vampires than the fabled "Volkihar vampires." Expectations were not satisfied, but they do provide many bonuses.

Volkihar are more or less a "fable". I am willing to bet a bunch of Falmer kept dragging people back into their lairs at night. Those who survives, the uneducated, would be frantic.

"Guess what happened to me today, Nordo!"

"What?"

"I was attacked by one of them Volkihars. It was pale, it was ugly and it had fangs and pointy ears."

The book Immortal Blood says otherwise. Movarth actually kills them mentioning their ability to reach through frozen lakes.

I highly doubt the Nords would create another myth from the Falmer considering they too were consider a child's tale or what not.

Whatever the scenario, the vampires turned out to be not much more than Cyrodilliac vampires.

well apparently being a vampire allows you to become stronger. I forget how to do it but there are certain ways to use their weaknesses towards certain things to actually boost enchanments on yourself and things like that. The strongest character possible has to be a vampire i think. in order to get the best armor possible. i forget hwo to do it tho0ugh but if u look back on these forums ...a little less than a week ago some guy posted how to do it.

Which contradicts lore, since Cyrodiilic vampires are unique in their own right. And Movarth's presence is enough to say otherwise. Unless the whole "Oh herp, Movarth was bitten by a Volkihar before the Cyrodiilic vampire attacked him." scenario.

Wouldn't the Cyrodiilic strain have become the dominant strain then since he got infected again before he changed.

please don't attribute Skyrims lackluster game versions of Volikhars and overall cookie cutter Vamps from Oblivion as merit to say Volikhars are a fable...especially when they are in the levelists lol.

Skyrim dropped it on the Vamps, BUT its better than the Brown storm that would ensue if they hadn't include them in the first place.

RP purposes and fun gameplay for some.
I like vampires, and think they're more elegant than a werewolf. I like both, but vampires won me over.

I have yet to play a vampire character... chances are I never will, I just find them ... mehhhhh

and this goes for all TES games (actually i just don't like the vampire "thing") I just don't find vamp/werewolf idea appealing or fun

Vampires with the nercomage perk are amazing. Playing one for the first time now and now I'll be trying to reach 70 restoration with every future character asap. The incredible benefits from just 1 perk change vampires from cool to sub zero.

As an illusionist too it is very helpful to have vampirism extend the level at which I can calm/fury enemies. Feeding is very easy too you can just ask a follower to sleep or cast invisibilty and feed on anybody undetected.

Vampire with necromage gives 25%+ to almost all active effects and 25%+ weakness to fire. The pros FAR outweigh the cons
