WOW Archery Killcams are AMAZING! So cool...!

Finally got the one that follows the arrow to the target, BEAST.

I'm in a Forsworn Camp right now and just sneak attacked a guy and shot him in the back with the arrow, same animation. It was funny cause the arrow pushed him face first into one of those spike barricades he was standing near.

Pure awesomeness!

The underwater effect is going to have to grow on me. Yea it looks more realistic like you have your eyes open underwater but it also makes seeing anything more than a few feet from you nearly impossible. Realism doesn't always equate to better in games. I was actually fine with it before other than the transition from the surface to underwater where everything was totally clear. I originally though that was all they were changing.

There's not really much to see underwater anyways :(

vikingdragons-

i don't think they stole my kill but i might have pressed an attack. i'll pay more attention next time it happens.

hippnotic-

i never had that happen in vegas. i didn't even know that was a bug in that game and would piss me off big-time.

Don't blame besthesda for this. Other people above you just said it's running better and smoother. There could be multiple reasons why the game has frozen. Too many people use besthesda excuse as a scape goat

Man, that last Indiana Jones film svcked....

....BETHESDA WTF!?!

On Topic: I'll check the patch out when I get home.

I spent like forty-five minutes trying to trigger an archery killcam. I'm going around shooting bandits, Falmer, bears, and all kinds of nasties. Nothing. Then a mudcrab pops up about two feet in front of me. I already had my bow out, so I shoot him. Wouldn't you know, my first archery killcam was a mudcrab. Horrible creatures! Second one was a chaurus. Third one, which has been the best one so far, was a Corrupted Shade. The camera followed the arrow through the air and right to his non-corporeal throat. They don't seem to happen very often for me, but I'm loving them anyway.

It didn't start freezing till the update, it happens every time I go to swim, freezes instantly in water. Very frustrating, other people are having the same problem on ps3.

Is this on an existing save file? It might be a bug that was already there, try a new toon and see if it still freezes.

Still freezes every time I go to swim freezes instantly in water.

On the technical side of the forum the advice is to delete the game and update files, (not the save files!), and stick the disk back in. Let it re-download the game files and update for patch 1.05, or version 2.04 if outside USA. When the game starts, fast travel to 4-5 destinations, then save as a new save, exit the game and turn off the PS3. Go back in and play for about 20 minutes; for some reason it takes the game some time to sort out the new update data. I did this and noticed such a difference in game play. Going through doors that used to take 10 seconds is now instant, fast travel is significantly quicker. Not a single crash for me following this advice. Maybe I am just lucky but worth a try; when I downloaded the update before following this process I got a crash.

It's worth a try. Also, the playing for twenty minutes (roughly) is critical, I didn't notice any change at first and thought nothing had changed, then all of a sudden going through doors changed and it has been sweet ever since. Fingers crossed for you.

We finally have some good news for console players. The http://www.product-reviews.net/2012/03/27/skyrim-1-5-patch-expected-to-miss-broken-quests/ update for The Elder Scrolls V is now available for the http://www.product-reviews.net/2012/04/06/skyrim-1-5-update-on-ps3-has-major-water-freezing-problem/ 360 and PS3 after debuting on PC earlier this week.
However, we already have confirmation that the patch is causing some problems on the http://www.product-reviews.net/2012/04/06/skyrim-1-5-update-on-ps3-has-major-water-freezing-problem/, with even Bethesda admitting that there is a freezing glitch in the game which now occurs whenever a player enters water.
After such a long period of time for the patch to come out, you would have thought that these things would be tested, but unfortunately that isn’t the case. It isn’t a sporadic issue either – the moment you step foot in water after installing patch 1.5, your game will freeze up requiring a hard reset of the PS3.
Luckily, there does appear to be an immediate workaround to the problem. Bethesda has advised all players to clear their game data for Skyrim by going to the game http://www.product-reviews.net/2012/04/06/skyrim-1-5-update-on-ps3-has-major-water-freezing-problem/ section of the XMB. When you reboot Skyrim after this change, the game will reinstall and it should fix the problem for you.
Just so you know a lot of people are saying the work around does not work.

Agreed, shadows and graphics look smoother and the game runs extremely smoothly. Very impressed. Kill cams and new finishing moves are nice as well! :)
