Ahum... Bug Patches? *COUGH* Where Are They? *COUGH* DLC Hin

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 9:31 am

If you can rid a game of all bugs, make a perfect dlc, and satisfy a millions of fans, WITHIN SIX MONTHS, then you have right to complain.

You're absolutely right. I mean, it's not like Bethesda has a team of developers and programers working on these things. Oh wait...

But seriously, I'm a patient guy and all, but there are some things that are just mind boggling. Like the fact that there's an unofficial bug patch that you can download for the PC (the details for which you can find in the link provided) but they can't do the same/rip it off to apply to the consoles.

Think of it like this. What you got on 11.11 is what you're going to get, and any patches/bug fixes/DLC are bonuses. They already got your $60 so they really don't have to release patches, yet they do any way. In other words, be thankful for what you have.

That's all well and good when the game is functional. But if they release a broken product, I have every right to be upset, and to have my money returned.

Considering all the talk about how the PS3 version was performing just as well as its counterparts before the game was released, I think it would be fair to say there was some false advertising going on. Especially after it came to light that the studio new that the PS3 version had issues but released the game anyway.

Like I said, patches are only considered a "bonus" because there's no regulating body making sure that games are functional. In all honesty I think that should change. If it was made impossible to sell a game that wasn't functional/had game breaking bugs in it, every studio would have to be much more careful making sure that their games were designed properly. A bug here or there is no big deal, but at a certain point enough is enough.

False advertising brings to mind Todd Howard. And if you were sold a broken product you have every right to get your money back, that's where receipts come into play.

Knowing bethesda, it'll be like a Fallout DLC, barely any interesting storyline, and cost like 30$ because it's Skyrim.

This topic was bumped from January... why exactly?

All this threads going to do is attract hate, trolls, and flaming. I was going to post on this topic earlier until I just saw that this is from Jan.? Has there NOT been patches since?

And who the [censored] cares about DLC? I've been playing since release and I'M NOT BORED? Go buy a diff. game, play something else in the meantime. Your life shouldn't constantly revolve around Skyrim. And if it does.. go out and get some fresh air guys.

Just saying...
