Official Dawnguard Trailer is up

There's more than one Elder Scroll, you know. I'm not sure how many there actually are, but there's definitely more than one.

Lol its impossible to know how many there are. The one time they got them all in one room together they found out it was impossible to count them.

Edit: ninjad

Wait a minute.. Markarth and Solitude?
Markarth contains the shrines of Molag Bal and Namira, whilst Solitude is present with Sheogorath and Queen Potema.
They're all somewhat evil (with the exception of Sheo, but he just wants a bit of fun) plus Molag created Vamps.
Coincidence?! Probably..

the shrine of meridia is just out solitude and we know that meridia don't like undead....

Too bad, I suppose. This is the Elder Scrolls. It was never just about dragons or elves. We had Bloodmoon. Now we have Dawnguard.

This looks wonderfully gothic!
Yeah also Ive noticed a greater Molag Bal shrine, with blood flowing, woot lots of darkness

Its very interesting how the majority of especulations were pointing to this, after a month, one rather misterious pic(the Dawnguard teaser picture) and the data files "leaked", endeed we have factions, vamp lords and crossbows... now where the hell it has to do with snow elf prince I'm not sure.

Did anyone else get flashbacks of the Van Helsing movie final fight scene when they seen the vampire lord and picture him fighting a werewolf?

Are players going to get the oppertunity to turn into that big winged vampire monster?
Is this going to upset the 'Vampires vs Werewolves' [censored] if they make vampires much cooler then werewolves? This is fragile ground they are treading, it could erupt into hundreds of different vampire vs werewolf war mods all over the internet and nothing would ever be the same.. lol

Dragonsreach is at the end of the trailer...doesn't look like new landmass to me. The price point is nice though. I was expecting $30.

I think they'll appreciate your help. It's the vamp clan that may be none-too welcoming. :read:

Never seen it.

Being a Vampire Lord was one of the things presented in the Game Jam DLC video a while back.

Considering that Molag Bal is the creator of vampires, I'd say it isn't at all impossible. As I see it, the portal in the trailer could be a gate to Coldharbour (even though I admit that the realm doesn't really look like the description of his realm).

I guess that bethesda would want to promote Molag Bal before TES online is released, so I guess it is possible...

Nice video and I'm looking forward to the xpac. Honestly, the exclusive doesn't bother me since it seems to only be for a month or so. I have an XBox but I'll still wait to buy it for the PC. Just not a console fan. Not sure why, in hindsight, but the moment I heard "Dawnguard" I was sure it was focused on the Falmer. Don't mind it dealing with the vampires instead but, for the love of Alduin, don't have them sparkle m'kay?

Maybe not as generic fantasy as oblivion was, but its still fairly generic. Lucky for me I'm a svcker for fantasy and ancient history etc (I derived most of my enjoyment in the original Assassins Creed from just wandering around going 'ooooh'). I know what you mean about the writing though, I seem to recollect reading somewhere that they'd had a big shake up in the writers department? Hopefully thats the cause and we'll see improvement as they settle into their new posts...

Vampire factions... sounds like they listened to the feedback about the loss of vamp factions from Morrowind. And they've put in mounted combat, which has been in demand too. Didn't they say magic users were going to love this DLC? There was quite a lack of spell footage in the trailer. Thats got me wondering, is the hit of the whole fruit magical? Is spellcrafting coming back, or new nuke spells?
Where did you hear the bit about a shakeup in the writing department?
