How is this a serious question?

Because I want to know how it is overdone, when there aren't that many new games with vampires vs werewolves. I don't count tv shows and movies because you can't play those.

I Am Legend (it can be classed as a zombie fiilm)

TES (all of them. It doesn't matter how they try to rename them, Draugr are still zombies)

That was based off a book about Vampire like creatures.. and a movie about Vampires which was also based of the same book.. and another movie about albino cultists.. I would hardly say its a zombie film... especially with the alternate ending..

I wouldn't say the zombie theme is over used.. Its more that most of the films and games are executed poorly.

Drauger as zombies?? They are a rehash of skeletons at best.. they do noy deserve the classification of "zombie".... In most sword and sorcery Zombies, Skeletons, ghouls, Wraiths, ghosts.. are all categorized under Undead.. Zombies in our culture are allot different then the zombies in fantasy.. which are usually reanimated corpses by the use of magic..instead of "infected" humans.

We've been given a lot of information about the Vampire side of the story, but not much of the Dawnguard side. Maybe like the Werewolves, they want to keep it a secret for release. I bet it'll be good.

My guess is the Dawnguard are either werewolves, werebears, or the Order, who are manipulating the rest of the Dawnguard into killing the other vampires so they can be the top dog.

Why is everyone so concerned with Dawngard=Werecreatures? I thought the Companions had that area covered...

Technically, Draugr are basically mummified Nords, not true zombies, and are closer to Ghouls (not the Fallout variant. The D&D one.) Look at Bloodmoon. But, Skyrim does seem to lack "true" zombies...

This is true. Ok, scratch Skyrim from the list.

Also, the creatures in I Am Legend are more akin to vampires than zombies.
Spoiler
They just come off mindless at the end because test audiences didn't like the moral ambiguity of Will Smith's character when they learned that Will Smith wasn't so much a man all alone in a city of demons, but a demon terrorizing and killing innocent souls that he created in the first place.

They're far from mindless, but then I prefer the alternate ending to the one used in the UK release. I suppose looking at the alt ending, it would be more apt to liken them to vampires as opposed to zombies.

You're a little late, Khaan.

As mentioned before, we should hope things are more shades of gray than black and white. We know that the sun isn't really a source of heat, nor is it vital for life in the Elder Scrolls, its just a giant hole in reality leading to the plane of magic. There could be some good upsides to 'removing the tyranny of the sun'
Side note, did they ever mention how the 'suns tyranny' would be removed? Would it be blocked out in a physical or metaphorical sense? Does the use of the Elder Scroll help the vampires develop a tolerance? Or is the vampire lord state a result of the tampering with time that comes hand in hand with playing with an elder scroll. (some of this may have been answered, I haven't watched the E3 footage)

In case you didn't know this the interview with todd howard has just been uploaded online and if you see some of the stuff that the vampire lords are getting you will realise how frustrating it will be for those choosing dawnguard.

I don't want to ruin it for everyone so watch it first and then comment. I'm sorry that I can't give a link to the video but I watched a live stream from the e3 website so it is no longer watchable through that way.
not really.
vampires get vampire lord and their little minions.
dawnguard get new Armour the crossbow and can have armored troll followers.

That's why people become evil, because you know, they are more powerful and besides, good guys have virtue, they don't need rewards. They quest for no monetary payment or fame.
being a good guy in just about any game has been about sacrifice because if you're going for a realistic potrayal of good and evil no one's going to choose evil for nothing more than the act of being evil (in real life any way) people generaly choose evil for extra power, money etc.
