I'm not old at role playing but in the past decades, games didn't need this feature and we didn't complain about the lack of it. So, I'd like to know how it "increases options thus giving more roleplay value", knowing that your physical appearance has no weigh of any kind in the game. The guards and everyone will still know who you are, even if you changed your name and race. So, convince me.
I don't actually have to convince you. But I can give you my thoughts on the matter.
But here is my opinions on the matter.
It expands on diversity and options and just because you you change your hair or cut it do you honestly think if you murder someone the guards will not notice you?
I get my hair cut because I choose to not look like an idiot with the way my hair grows the sane thing applies to my character.
More options is more choice for your character on how to express themselves as individuals there anything wrong with that?
Roleplaying is being your character the way you envision that personality and you can build upon that character with things offered to you within the confines of what the game offers and your imagination and I would like to change how my persons look to reflect what they want.
When I roleplay I am that character and what better way than reflecting your character than by changing the way they look, you change your looks based off what you want why should it be different for your character.
Be that character envision what they want as they are an individual and that will make changing them more unique as a person.
This is what roleplaying is for me it does not have to be game changing or game altering its a way to expand on your character that's what this tiny feature is. Game changers are for other subjects like this games magic system needs some serious work that kind of subject.
