Guys, i wasnt aware that Werewolfs and Vampires were copyrighted...
No one complained about Dragons, even though they featured in 10000+ movies INCLUDING HARRY POTTER
TES is a fantasy world that has Vampires and Lycanthropes.
Twilight is a fantasy (eh) world that has Vampires and Lycanthropes.
Underworld is a fantasy world that has Vampires and Lycanthropes.
Harry Potter is a fantasy worl that had Vampires (does it?) and Lycanthropes.
And Twilight wasnt that bad guys. Just the actors were god awful. If Johnny Depp played Edward it would be the best film of all time.

Except that they were quite different from how they're now depicted in Dawnguard.

We are talking about Lycanthropy here? They are going to be different. Different strains of the virus makes for different were breeds and evolves over time. Same goes for vampirism. The strain mutates differently over time and where it is based. Read 'Immortal Blood' and 'On Lycanthropy'.
