Werebears and Spears the two things I want most in DLC #2

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 1:54 pm

Spears are easily my #1 desire. Here's my quick attempt to come up with a list:

1.) Spears. Preferably multiple types, e.g. short spears (one handed, around 3 ft. long, half shaft and half blade) and long spears (around 6-7 ft. long, shorter blades). Also more pole arms in general, such as halberds and pikes. There doesn't have to be one for every metal, though that would be awesome. If there were at least just like 2-4 (say, steel, elven, ebony, dragonbone; or steel, glass, daedric).

2.) More of what we already have. More outfits (preferably themed stuff, like an akaviri ninja-esque clothing, more hunter outfits, cleric outfits, etc.). More armors (say, one new set of Light and one new set of Heavy). More shouts, more spells, etc.

3.) The ability to build/customize your own fort or hall. Not just a few upgrades, but more hands-on customization. I want to have a great hall with 10 mannequins on each side and 20 display cases around the walls. I want a crafting room with access to my own personal mine, forge, tanning rack, smelting station, grindstone, and work bench. I want to design my own alchemy garden by planting ingredients in a designated patch of soil. An industrial person might use that to cultivate endless jarrin root, crimson nirnroot, and other useful ingredients... Basically I want to have a house that feels truly unique/personal, and that can accomplish all of my wants/needs. It doesn't have to be anywhere near sims/minecraft level of control, but definitely more than just a prebuilt house and predetermined upgrades.

4.) Get away from the beast stuff. I don't want anything to do with vampires, werewolves, etc. That's what Dawnguard is doing. I hope the next DLC goes in a completely different direction. I really like the idea of finding an intact community of Snow Elves (i.e. not the corrupted Falmer, but true Snow Elves of old). Maybe they could be guarding the Snow Prince's Spear (which is a weapon that has been referenced in the game lore before). That would be a good way to tie in the addition of spears as well: snow elves could still use them as their main weapons, and when you discover their society, you thereby gain access to spears (and possibly the ability to make them yourself). Snow Elves could also tie in new clothes, new gear, new spells, and perhaps even a bit of akaviri content.

We're not talking about the guy who made the thread "Werebears Confirmed", there was another guy on an earlier thread that hinted about werebears and had his posts deleted and got banned.

mk wasn't here for that, alright enough about leaks from me.

I want to build a god damn house, sit on my god damn porch, and yell at forsworn who dare park their crappy horse in the view of my yard. That is what I want out of the DLC.

Kinda wonder though, if I cure myself of being a werewolf, would that forbid me from becoming a Wearbear? Hmm.... so many questions and no answers.

My sig says otherwise. I'm thinking of adding Solid-dragon to it as well.

JK. Nothing substantial, just a bunch forums saying "WEREBEARS COMFIRMED!".
I think it's funny if not for this thread then none of this would have happened. Maybe Talos his a hand in this.

That. Actually makes sense. Why in the world would Bethesda not do that? Common sense tells us that Todd Howard is a man of tricks and secrets. When he said that the werewolf people have something special in mind. Then he means it. Don't mess with Todd.

How do you know he was a beta tester....he said his "friend" was so he wasn't bound by NDA.../I swear peeps you really should drop it and stop making a martyr out of Dips >:D
that guy was an obvious fake, but the other beta tester that got banned mentioned somthing about werebears and got all his comments deleted and banned form the forum.

Remember that Bethesda hid werewolves pretty well until about 2 weeks before Skyrim's release. I won't say anything about werebears, but something tells me that there's DEFINITELY some surprises about Dawnguard that we won't know till it is released.

I'm only on page two of this thread and I wasn't there for the first one, but apparently werebears have been leaked and have their own perk tree? Can anyone provide details of what happened? How do we know that this Dovahbear wasn't lying?

Oh him. Yeah that guy is going to get it. He
Spoiler
Spoiled a new perk tree for werebears too

Not to mention he's getting sued into Oblivion. :obliviongate:

Yeah, and he actually agreed to the NDA aswell,... what an idiot.
I wouldn't want to be in his shoes. Atleast the first guy was subtle about his leak.

This. I wonder if he thinks it was worth it...idiot.

Y'know, this reminds me of the opening scene in Skyrim with the executions…

"My ancestors are smiling at me! Can you say the same?" <== "Dovahbear"
*beheaded* <== Banhammer
"As fearless in death as he was in life..." <== Us

I laughed pretty hard at that.

they're bigger and fatter and cuddlier :3
and have bigger claws, bigger teeth, and bigger [very censored]

:lmao:

At about 1:09, on of the bears takes a massive dump in the middle of battle! :lmao: I wanna do that in Skyrim! NEXT DLC!

The only people that know for certain are the beta testers. And they can't tell us, so I'll take it with a pinch of salt.
