Who is in charge around here?

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 2:56 pm

how about it's 2 in the morning right now so that makes tomorrow thursday. which means thursday night at the time...pushes us to friday morning...which, oh my, i do believe skyrim will be out. how terribly hard that math was.

Lol, no.

"This time tomorrow night" does not equal "This time the day after tomorrow."

Tomorrow means some at some point on the next calendar day. Skyrim comes out Friday. Tomorrow is technically Thursday.

Very mature of you.

Hey if I get banned for freedom of speech that's pretty messed up. And I hope someone will stand up for me if I get banned. They gotta know who to point the finger at.

Which is why it only attracts power-hungry people.

What else would someone get out of a volunteer moderator position? There's no joy to it other than being able to mod people's posts and ban them.

Moderators don't volunteer for the position - they are chosen by other moderators and administrators for their contributions to the forum. Anyone who applies to be a moderator is guaranteed to not get it.

As for what they get out of it? Some of us like helping people and making this place (well, with the exception of the little corner of Hell that is Skyrim General) a good place to hang out and get helped. They also get free games and shwag.

Nah, you'll get banned for repeatedly disregarding the rules.

Technically, in the U.S., it is wednesday now, so this time tomorrow would be about midnight thursday night, thus skyrim time.

All the more reason to be cautious when posting, but hey, you wanna play with fire, go ahead.

All the more reason to go to another forum where you can openly talk about the game without gamesas's PR team censoring you so that you don't discourage sales.

This topic has totally helped me stop thinking about Skyrim for a pretty long time. Anyone else?

Lol, are you just trolling me? Sometimes I'm really gullible.

They don't censor people to discourage sales, else 90% of this forum wouldn't exist. They do prevent you from talking about illegal material, which is obviously illegal, try to prevent people from spoiling the game for others by revealing information on gameplay, and try to cut down on clutter by locking repetitive or spamy threads.

The game is still two days away. You just admitted that you will be playing an illegal, leaked version of Skyrim. Reported.

And this people, is the perfect example of being power-hungry.

Or just of someone doing what they should have been doing rather than spamming up the forum with petty bickering and increasing our workload.
(Thanks to the people who did report the thread.)

If you have a problem with a moderator, contact the Community Managers (Gstaff or Nick Breckon).
