Should give a few hints of whats to come. I miss the goblin caves! Fire/water/electric arrows would be pretty badass too.

So many people demanding that Bethesda hurry up and punch out the DLC asap. Have any of you considered what sort of impact that has on quality? Let them work.

The degradation of the gaming industry in general is caused by publishers pushing developers to release faster than they are really able to. Stop pushing.

For the love of games, please stop pushing.

Pushing anything on any forum, have never really made anything go faster.
I think you give us little people alot more power then we have.

I can't see for myself that the devs go like this ?[censored], the people on the offical forum is pushing us to release this DLC we are working at the moment, we have to work faster and screw the quality, faster, faster for the people on the offical forum! We must please them or else they will find us and do things to us? Make us play Nintedo Wii and stuff.?

Hmmm, no. Don't think that is the conversation that is going around their office when we push here.

I agree with you. The pushing on the boards has no direct effect. However, that's not the point. It's the mentality. The people that are pushing so hard are the people that the publishers see, and thus cater to, when they set obnoxious deadlines for games and expansions. Publishers try to sell to the market they see.

What do they see? Impatience. They see a market that wants crap now instead of gold later.

Skyrim's been out for 5 months. That's plenty of time to come out with a decent-sized DLC. They said they weren't going to make a Shivering Isles-sized DLC.

They haven't been working on DLC the whole time. Patches and stability should be their priority for the first six months or so. By my reckoning, they shouldn't have even started the DLC yet.

Granted, I understand that they are perfectly capable of multi-tasking. My point still stands though, gamers assuming they know how much time it takes to get things right is very dangerous.

They split into small teams. Some for patches, some for DLC. The entire team of 100 people doesn't work on patches, you know.

My point is that impatience among gamers pushes developers. It's not a good thing. That's all.
Gamers should not assume that they know what is "plenty of time" and what isn't.

Just in case you wondered about the lore.
I'm aware of the lore, moon sugar just strikes me as completely inaccessible in real life. Hence ALL THAT SUGAR WATER.

We're not pushing for the DLC, we're pushing for info. This complete silence is very odd for a company that loves to hype their games.

Agreed. I just want to know what they're working on. And WHEN I can see it. I understand things take time, and I want them to make it right; I just want to know when so I can stop gnawing my leg off.

Be prepared for:

"It's nearly ready"
"We'll let you know when we have more information"
"It's gonna be soon".

Oh and I don't give a rats ass  It's best to just say something in coming, without tagging a month or day to it.

They said they weren't going to make a Shivering Isles-sized DLC.
lol I'm not going to be spending 30 bucks on multiple DLC's from these people.

Hi there Luke Skyrimmer! It's truly good to see you.

Yes. It doesnt really bother me that we haven't heard anytrhing substantial about the forthcoming DLC. But I can't help but wonder why Bethesda makes a point to not meet its own deadlines.

this. 2 out of three platforms for skyrim have nothing to do with the "big suprise" in april. It would be pretty foolish at this point in april to think something else is comming. By all means, take your time with any dlc, but they read these forums, know the mindset and continue to raise the hopes of the fanbase for nothing. Hope it bites them on the ass.

I don't think the surprise was Kinect support. We knew about it back in March.

As for Dishonored, it looks very interesting. A cross between Bioshock & Assassin's Creed, two series that I really enjoy
