"Skyrim fans are getting a surprise in April"

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 8:41 am

I've noticed on this forum Bethesda could announce the launch of a new product: The Elder Scrolls VI Box of money. It would be a box that contained five hundred dollars, and people would come here and complain about how it was folded....

OMG WHY DOLLARS??? THE DLC BETTER BE IN EUROS OR I'LL NEVER TAKE FREE MONEY FROM BETH AGAIN.

April isn't over yet so it may be an unannounced announcement coming up. If not my only womder os why they described the Kinect addition as a sunrise, as it would only affect the Xbox players.

That said, I am not going to complain just because they didn't announce DLC, we know it is coming sooner or later.
No,Not affecting xbox players,Just Kinect players,Xbox player right here.

GTA IV cost to produce $100M Money earned in the first 18 months after release $1.21B (with a B) BETH wishes Skyrim was more like GTA. Almost outsold all other games combined in its first year of retail. Largest selling IP ever. There has to be a lot of crossover in players from GTA to Skyrim cuz if you take away GTA players there's not to many people left who own a game system or PC.

and....

You too, could have easily clarified things just as I did. You don't be mean either.

Well, I would've clarified if I didn't think he already understood but was just refusing to accept it.

About GTA versus TES, the fundamental difference, as already stated, is in how much freedom you're given over the player character. Yes, most RPGs constrict in ways big and small your control of your character. But the degree to which they don't is also how good of an RPG they are, placing TES firmly at the top. I play GTA like I play TES since they are very similar, but I keep running into the same wall where it counts.

GTA and TES are probably my two favorite series of all time. Yes, they are different, but both share the idea of giving you a sandbox world and some choice of how you progress through the game.

No complaints for either series except that I wish there were more.

If gta 5 comes out before any skyrim dlc, how much money does beth lose?

If Diablo III comes out before the DLC.... that's the real question.

The end of April comes and the PC user sees no new game update in site.
...
...
Surprise!
...
...
Well not really, I expected as much. The Devs of this game seem to live on another planet and wouldn't have time to tell us anything. So unlike the BioWarEA boards.

There are only two things though that I want Bethesda to be doing right now. ONE, look at the list of bugs in the unofficial patch and put them in an official patch. As a PC player I don't care that much, but I feel it is really unfair for Bethesda to depend on the players to fix their game like in the past (just look at the OB and MW unofficial patches) when there are so many console users now. Come on Bethesda the list is huge and so many of them are easy fixes. TWO, get the DLC out. I know that X-Box gets it first for a few months, so let's get the ball rolling since I already know I don't get to see it until months after it's out.

Skyrim's DLC will contain at least the following things: snow elves, a snow elf prince, crossbows, new vampire feeding animations (a la GameJam). This is not speculation. Someone discovered the info (with 'DLC01' prefix right inside the game's data files (added by patch 1.5, precisely). Check the unofficial dlc discussion thread 8, page 6 for details.

I'm fairly certain they did just announce a game called "Dishonored" being in development... Was all over the forums...
It was announced almost a year ago though...

Even if the DLC is announced next week it'll be a few months before it's released.

Yes I am aware of that, I just can't see it being announced this month, they would of done it already. I hope I am wrong but like I said they would of said something by now.

Hi ther Clown 6. How's your week coming along? Great, or so I hope.

It now can forever be argued this complaining forum offers new material to those on the Stand-Up circuit.

A true surprise related to Skyrim would be (and can still be done in time) that all the devs will invade these very forums and start talking with their fans about the game

GTA is overrated. Most TES fans are probably in a different demographic than GTA fans anyway.

I would say i have to agree with you, though i know that there are still alot of people that will probably play both.

And that box could be empty, and there would still be people proclaiming how awesome box it is :hehe:
