I was hoping for a DLC Patch that fixes all the issues in the game.

April isn't over yet so it may be an unannounced announcement coming up. If not my only womder os why they described the Kinect addition as a sunrise, as it would only affect the Xbox players.

That said, I am not going to complain just because they didn't announce DLC, we know it is coming sooner or later.

Bah im having flashbacks from fonv, my money is on mid may if they said April.

Jokes aside, they do need to quit waiting til the last day or just balls up and straight out let us know it was just the Kinect and a shameful hype stealer with dishonor.

If gta 5 comes out before any skyrim dlc, how much money does beth lose?

GTA is overrated. Most TES fans are probably in a different demographic than GTA fans anyway.

Why would you say that?
Aside from setting, tell me what the difference's are?

Grand Theft Auto is about living as a criminal or rather about shooting people as a criminal and has few RPG elements (though I hope the fix that and return the series to San Andreas quality). Now with the addition of multiplayer GTA is more about shooting things than adventuring and role playing.

Elder Scrolls is about Role Playing a character. Exploring a world and seeing the sites and looting ruins. It is a about a hero or anti hero that can be anyone, play anyway, and allows the player a freedom that GTA lacks.

That is the difference.

On topic: I don't mind having to wait for DLC. The longer the wait the larger and more refined the DLC will be and when it is promised to be expansion pack sized the longer the better. My problem is when I'm told to get excited, when I'm made to feel stoked and then it is revealed that owe it is only Kinect support that Microsoft paid for. That is the point I don't like. I'm still waiting for the Rage announcement as well because Kinect for Skyrim surely won't have them stoked so maybe there is still hope for a decent announcement but I won't hold my breath.

this. 2 out of three platforms for skyrim have nothing to do with the "big suprise" in april. It would be pretty foolish at this point in april to think something else is comming. By all means, take your time with any dlc, but they read these forums, know the mindset and continue to raise the hopes of the fanbase for nothing. Hope it bites them on the ass.

And 2 out of 3 platforms had nothing to do with the big announcement of the CK for the PC... what's your point?

So when you compare GTA with Skyrim, they're almost the same game aside from setting.

Skyrim - Half the game is about killing people and blowing things up, running around an open world doing so. You role play a criminal (you're always a prisoner at the start) and a character who follows a set route through-out the game, its just the direction of progression that you choose (meaning you choose which quests to do first)

There is very little character progression, I would say its probably on par with San Andrea's in this regard.

GTA - Half the game killing people and blowing things up. Running and driving through an open world as you do so. You role play either a criminal or someone forced into a life of crime. You can also choose which faction you work for as you progress.

Both games share a very similar design focus. Its simple the setting that differs.

I've noticed on this forum Bethesda could announce the launch of a new product: The Elder Scrolls VI Box of money. It would be a box that contained five hundred dollars, and people would come here and complain about how it was folded....

Just don't deposit the money in an ATM because it may freeze and crash and your account could potentially be riddled with bugs.

I agree. They have a very similar design and premise. Just a different setting. RDR fits nicely into this category as well.

I'm fairly certain they did just announce a game called "Dishonored" being in development... Was all over the forums...
No they did not. The game was announced a long time ago. What they did recently was release a new trailer for it. The reason it was all over the forums is because most people assumed it was new Skyrim content. When it turned out to be a trailer for Dishonored, everyone was discussing it.

"Announce" is used when a game is first introduced. "Release" is used when new content is available regarding a game that has already been announced.

Look harder then.
You could easily have pointed him in the direction of the content you were referring to. Don't be mean.

Educate yourself better.
You too, could have easily clarified things just as I did. You don't be mean either.

I wonder how you'd make IRL skooma. I imagine it's like sugar water where you're SUPER heavy on the sugar and some LSD slipped in.

gta is not a roleplaying game because you don't have a choice to roleplay you have a set backstory, character and name. it's comepletely different to TES.

Even if it wasn't and I agree it is very different, its also a very different mindset, the settings are so different as to attract either a very verstile or very different player. TES is my favorite series but GTA leaves me completely cold.

TES is the only "RPG" that doesn't have a preset character backstory and name.

Just about EVERY early RPG had named characters and preset story with little room to move. I think every Final fantasty was made in this way, as were most of the classics.
