Empire or Stormcloaks #2000

HI there A Tool!

I always enjoy these threads, so I thought I'd start the next one.

Which do you side with Empire or Stormcloaks?

My character won't pick a side, but he is frustrated with the Empire....

So, which are you?

Today, this is how I roleplayed: My character has gotten hold of certain confidential documents that prove beyond a shadow of a doubt The Empire has committed crimes against the inhabitants of Nirn, specifically on a foreign province it has invaded under false pretense. My character has made those documents public, documents which show Imperial actions have resulted in an outrageous number of casualties, including tens of thousands civilian deaths. Thus, the embarassed Empire has sought to get my character extradited via a mock legal process, all the while the alleged whistle-blower from whom my character allegedly got those documents is now imprisoned under inumane conditions, deprived of even the most basic rights. Hence my character has sought political asylum at the Yokuda Embassy in SKyrim.

1. Ulfric abused the voice. I am with the Greybeards 100%. Only the Dohvakiin can use the Voice as he/she sees fit. The rest should use it mainly for worshiping or only in times of dire need.

The Nords had been using the voice for generations, it's a Nord tradition. Just because the only true users of the voice use it to meditate doesn't mean that's the only way it should be used. The Thu'um is a magic and all those with the aptitude to learn it should be allowed to use it. By saying that only the Dovahkiin should use the Voice is like saying only Arch-Mages should be allowed to use magics.

2. Most commoners do not want another war. They simply want to get on with their lives after a painfully long war. In any war, the peasants are always those who suffer. Ulfric started it for his pathetic reasons, he must die.

Most commoners will get another war whether you choose the Stormcloaks and the Empire since the Thalmor threat is at bursting point. Also the Civil War wouldn't have happened if the Empire hadn't refused Ulfric's challenge.

3. The Nords are not natives of Skyrim. They rob Skyrim from the natives, so the stupid Stormcloaks cant go about shouting Skyrim is for the Nords. These hypocrites must die.

Cyrodiil wasn't originally Imperial (it was Ayleid), High Rock wasn't originally Breton (it was Aldmer), Hammerfell wasn't originally Redguard (it was a land where Orsimer tribes roamed) and Morrowind wasn't originally Dunmer (it was Dwemer).

By your logic these races are wrong in living there.

4. Any thing that weakens the Empire will make the Thalmor happy and anything that makes the Thalmor happy is bad.

By even existing, the Empire is helping the Thalmor. The Empire is led by Dynasty that has weakened the Empire so much that
Spoiler
Even the Elder Council want to getrid of him.
It's Legions haven't won one war and need a Demi-God to defeat a small-time rebellion.

The Empire let's the Thalmor have free reign in it's provinces and that makes the Thalmor very, very, very happy which by your logic makes the Empire 10 times worse than the Stormcloaks....

I'm still kind of neutral, but if I really have to choose between them I will choose Stormcloaks for sure. Not that I'm against Empire completely, but I think the Legion army is definitely corrupt because of General Tullius, Battle Born clan, and rest of the milk drinkers. I just can't be the side of Empire after what happen to the Helgen at the beginning, and seeing people's madness in Solitude at the execution show off.

For the Stormcloaks side, I don't like the fact that a lot of them are kind of racist towards different race, but it's still understandable, because they don't say it but they are probably more like scared or concerned about being spied on by Legion/Thalmor. They may just been extra cautious and protective at the moment.

More importantly, the big difference between the Legion and Stormcloaks are the fact that Legion kills every Stormcloaks/Talos worshipers they see. On the other hand Stormcloaks/Nords maybe a bit racist but don't cause blood shed because of it. This is just my opinion, but I think that the Stormcloak's cause are just simply to survive than anything else. I just wish Ulfric didn't challenge High king Torygg by using his shout. Ulfric definitely made big mistake there.

Hello, Press Z to Debunk!

That's a very neat roleplay. It always makes me smile whenever I hear how people do cool roleplays.

See, this is what I picked up from the game too. I'm not sure why no one else notices.
