ill make a character that does and does not. I really hope they are different story lines for each side, and not like the civil war quests.

Im going to serve him, but the first instant he shows weakness, I will strike him down and become the new lord of vampires.

that the volkihar isnt dead? it is. the volkihar are supposed to phase through ice, breath ice and be icey and paranoid. and those transformations are not a part of any vampire clan prior to the DLC (and it is painfully clear they only made them to look like victor from underworld)
That the information on Volkihar comes from stories and legends and not any actually appearance in a game before now?

Yes...he will create you but because you are the Dragonborn you will surpass him and take control of the Volkihar clan. =P

It'd be cool if that happens..I know since the E3 guy said it..that we get to live in Castle Volkihar.
Spoilers dude!

if anything, stories and legends always play up the villain, if they had this power it would be known (ebsdies, they are clearly not trying to hide, so they would be known anyway)

Well they do tend to stay in their hidden fortress or so the trailer depicts and probably only leave to feed.

having a fortress in the first place does nothing for the whole "stealthy" thing

An intelligent villain spreads lies and misinformation.

A fortress on an island within a sea of ice shrouded in mist. Ships are unlikely to be able to sail there. Normal peopel aren't going to take a dip in those icy waters. This makes it a very secret place.
