Unfortunately Headfirst Interactive (creators of the original DCOTE) have now gone out of biz =(
Y'know what though Ray, now I think about it, a long time has passed eh? Headfirst may be gone but Bethesda themselves might have some interest and they certainly have the vast web of contacts necessary to drum up a production house that might be interested in an out-and-out sequel or even in just another H.P.Lovecraft-based game.
Lovecraft and Cthulhu are more popular than ever - a huge cultural meme which the vast majority of the gaming public is aware of. A valuable franchise, surely. Chaosium are clearly
very much up for creating licensing opportunities these days too.
Is it too wild a hope to raise a flag here and say, "Hoy! Bethesda! Lets have another Cthulhu game!"
FWIW, I'd love to see Starbreeze hired to develop a sequel to DCoTE.
