Did you Dad leaving the vault have much to do with FO3
Did the waterchip Have that much to do with F01

Hell, we spoil crap for ourselves all the time. It's only really really a spoiler after the game comes out. Before launch, everything is stuff the Devs have put out for everyone to see. And if you're purposely avoiding info, then you should be a little more careful of where you're looking, Kemosabe.

this is taken from one of my threads, this is what some people seriously thought the game would be

3. Throwing someone from lucky 38: Yes, Yes, Oh God, Yes. That would be an great ending, the war has finally broke out in the streets of N.V, NCR vs. CL, and the couier finally corners the person who shot him in the head on top of the tower, some monologe/diologue between them, and then the PC pushes the would-be assassin off and right before the assassin fall he graps the PC to finally finish the hit. And you land on the leader of the NCR/CL, which ever you oppose, killing him and winning the battle for your allies.

No, Rene Auberjonois did the voice work for Karl Schafer -- y'know, the dude who sent Nate to the ice caverns. He did a good job, in my opinion.

You have a good point. In every Fallout game the plot's basically been:
"Good job, you've got the Water Chip, what's this - oh no! Mutants! You have to stop them!"
"Good job, you've got the G.E.C.K., what's this - oh no! The Enclave! You have to stop them!"
"Good job, you've got the Dad, what's this - oh no! The Enclave plus a really bad script! You have to stop them!"

its probably one of thoes things, we probably knew of benny, and to be honest from the start the only real question was why were we shot for THATpackage and who payed for the hit.

It's also been revealed that the package is:

some unspecified documents being delivered from some specific place to another, but I don't remember what places those are.

It can therefore be assumed that the Courier knows at least that much about the package at the start, or at least assumes that much.
