No, it won't. China is not going to openly support North Korea if it attacks. The US and China are bound together by their economies, and a war would devastate both of them, particularly China's. China is not a paranoid maoist state. It is a Capitalism like the USA that depends on the rest of the world for everything. Besides, forget whatever MW2 taught you. ICBMs cannot reach into Canada, from China or North Korea. A nuclear submarine along the coast can, but a ICBM would simply not be able to reach the West Coast. North Korea's Missile probably would crash halfway before Hawaii before it got anywhere.

Didn't anybody catch the Wikileaks story about China's attitude towards North Korea? They see them as a psychotic, unpredictable mooch that would flood them with refugees should war break out or the dictatorship and military somehow implode. They don't want North Koreans except for cheap organs for sale on the black market or death factory labor. The leaks also revealed China's government would enjoy a reunited Korean peninsula as long as U.S. troops stay below the 38th parallel. China's more militant capitalist than communist now, they'd see New Korea as another market place to flood with their toxic, cheap goods. I think we're witnessing the next Cuban Missile Crisis, hopefully cooler heads will prevail, and a non-nuclear conclusion will be reached.

People seem to be getting overly concerned about the NK, SK issues. While SK is in a defense treaty with the United States, which requires them to go to the aid of SK in events of war, they will not overstep their bounds. People keep saying because China has a long standing fondness with NK, that if the US helps SK, China will go in aid of NK, but they won't. Why? All the US has to do is cut off all trade with china and boom.

Seeing as we won't break into nuclear war and probably the conflict will pass away I am not worried: it's not the first time these tensions have existed in Korea, N.Korea has either no/very few nuclear weapons, no countries want to go into nuclear war and never have.

Just to be safe, I'm gonna put my Fallout 3 Strategy Guide in my "bug out bag", so that when the time comes I'll remember how to make bottlecap mines and shishkebabs.

I doubt that people will use bottlecaps as currency... Atleast not in the United States, we use cheap-ass plastic for EVERYTHING. Also, yes, North Korea is a threat, but in more of an international-affairs way. We can defend ourselves from nukes. I would somewhat fear atomic warfare elseware, because North Korea is run by a mad man and his fat son, with a huge military. Hopefully their crap-county will just collapes soon....
