So PS3 & 360 players get nothing while PC players get Mo

Post » Fri Jun 08, 2012 7:48 pm

Why is there no official creation kit for the PS3?

Some other games include some sort of "create your own map/mission".

Do not confuse the creation kit with a basic map editor.

I play on the PS3 because my pc gives me weird keyboard lag when I try to play online games. :brokencomputer:

So I was pretty much forced to buy it for the PS3.

The downside to this is that I still get glitches, bugs, and things in the game that I plain don't like.

While pc players get to mod their game, add/remove changes, and even get an official creation kit?

While I'm stuck with plain un-modded Skyrim.

It just seems like Bethesda gave pc players the candy stick, while console players got grounded.

It has nothing to do with Bethesda, because Bethesda is not into making hardware consoles...C'mon, it's been the same since Morrowind, you can not mod software on a console, so your complaint at Bethesda will accomplish absolutely nothing.

...With that said, Mods please close this thread down now!

agreed..

I can see the ending now: Result in discussion the compatibility of current generation and people flat out denying them because they believe that current generation is as strong as any PC on the market.

@zyg

Origin is already confirmed on Wii U so same and similar networks especially with Beth's current integration with steam is a strong possibility not confirmed but I can see it happening.
Ha! I laughed hard. You are either psychic or you have seen this before.

My pc gives me the keyboard lag wether it is for an online game or not.

then thats a keyboard issue or if its wireless a reciever issue. Or you need to install latest drivers for your keyboard but if its stock then that isn't the cause.

Why not try a different keyboard? You can pick one up really cheap, it may not be pretty, but it may work.

No not at all. If it were not for you pitiful console wiennies we would not be in the state we are now in.

I have a deep and abiding hatred for consoles. They are why games have been so crippled and dumbed down. Certainly there are reasons for this but I have watched the rot progress for quite a while now.

Them is fighting words.

That's it, put up your dukes.

Perhaps you need to fiddle with your keyboard settings. Seems like a hardware issue.

pfft...

It could be said that PC gaming is ruining consoles with Steam or equivalent DRM's, or simply cost.

Doesn't really matter, a controller feels better in my hands than a mouse and keyboard.

Both have their merits.

Steam on the other hand...

I've tried(?) updating drivers but it always say that they are updated.

How would I do that? :ermm:

Skyrim is an online game?

I didn't say it was.

Well I would imagine MS and Sony would be extremely happy of DRM due to pirating is not just on PC its as much of an issue on all platforms and every game that is pirate is $10 less then MS and Sony earns.

Also since your on a console vs a PC the chance of DRM effecting you is much less hell even I haven't lost a game on steam due to its DRM or any DRM in that matter.

As for the controller 90% of the games that are multiplatform come with controller options so ya.

@BFA

Then it has to do with your laptop they have a tendecy to short out especially if they are the flimsy "lightweight" models.

I didn't know consoles had Steam and DRM. You learn something new every day!

Steam on the other hand...

Steam is arguably one of the best things to happen to PC gaming and one of the few actually effective measures against pirating :) (oh boy I'm going to get flamed for this)

Modding requires some knowledge in using computers; console users don't usually fit these requirements.
Most console users know little of coding or scripting,
using 3d packages, animating, photoshopping, modeling.

Further more, user content are frown upon on consoles; too many nvde mods, "briast physics", violence on children / questionable content

Many more mods will crash consoles, due to high memory requirements that consoles are never ment to handle.

It would have to be astronomically dumbed down to be on the console. And earn the ire of the entire modding community.

Oh consoles don't have DRM, though Sony does particpate in a sort of DRM by sharing with other consoles.

Though, its akin to piracy in a sense... in the fact you don't have to buy the game to play the game.

I was talking more about imagined threats which generally fall along two schools of thought :

Consoles may be simplifying PC users gaming experiences.

PC's may be forcing consoles into DRM's like Steam.

I don't believe either is the case... currently.

It's only 2 years old. (I think)

I used to be able to play AVA (FPS game) on maxed out settings with almost no lag.

It still plays good till my laptop randomly acts stupid after I use it too much.

I'm a little offended by this. I do play on the PS3, but I modded Oblivion for a long time, and had no problem doing so. Then again I'm also pretty good with computers, so I guess this can't really apply to me.
