im now 30 hours ingame. so far i noticed 5 times freezing, and major performance issues at the ncr main base.
my output settings are scaled down to 720p, it helped alot on assassins creed brotherhood, so im using this on fallout as well.
it maybe helps you a bit. i suggest you try it.
i really love fallout...in every single point, but the bugs.
guess im gonna have to upgrade my pc, so i can start my next char on it.

Are you playing on a PC now? I'm playing on a PS3. As far as I know this a 720p game and if I set the screen to support 1080p (as it does) shouldn't factor in. I do not want to change my system settings to play a fu*king game made by losers.
Off topic, but I'll take the chance: What's bothering me is that I have a game potentially great in front of me.
I'm playing and I encounter some botched quests; No big deal - it's not new and can be worked around (if I had a PC with a console i might fix them myself but I'm on a PS3 so I'm fu*ked -comes with the territory). I can manage that.
There are major graphical glitches in the game, no big deal, I'm a programmer myself, not writing games, only dealing with boring stuff like nuclear power plants, steel and manufacturing industry where software glitches costs millions of dollars each hour, which of course can't be compared to the peril and headaches of making a game like Fallout New Vegas.
I can take a great deal of "imperfections" and still be impressed by the net result (like Red Dead Redemption and others).
But I will not be impressed by, nor tolerate, total freezing and "crash to desktop" as has been standard behavior when dealing with Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas. There is some fundamental flaw in the "engine" resulting in this peculiar behavior that would either be fixed - soon - or grant every one (at least on the PS3) a 100% money back guarantee.
I do not want to wait for this svcker to go on "super-sale" until I get the value as I as pre-order customer was entitled to. Don't you fu*king morons understand what you're doing? You actually told us to WAIT for the N'TH PATCH to buy your product. Now, who the fu*k do you think will ever pre-order anything you'll ever produce? Not me. All I know is that I'll get a non-functional product which will not get fixed and won't be playable never or at best playable at the same instant this product goes on panic sale for a dollar. Get your fu*kin act together and either produce some results or declare the title dead and abandoned.
