PSN users BEWARE!

Post » Sun May 29, 2011 1:49 am

Logged into gmail minutes ago. There was a red banner across the top. This is that one that generally is yellowish or some other color depending on your theme, and informs of new features, updates etc. Anyways, today it was red. And it told me that someone else may be accessing my account. It directed me to this:

i dont really see it as a coincidence that this happened right after PSN is hacked, on the email account thats tied to my PSN account.

if you also used a gmail account for your psn account, i suggest you look at your activity history. it can be found by logging into gmail, and scrolling to the bottom of the screen. you will see:
Last account activity: 0 minutes ago from this computer Details

Details will be a link to the screen from my screenshot.
It only gives you the 10 most recent logins, but as mine indicates, if there is anything they have deemed suspicious, it will be extra and highlighted at the top.

ive had at least 2.
one warning me that personal information was taken, that they didnt think credit card info was, and that i should keep an eye out for unusual activity.
another one about their $1million identity theft insurance deal, although that one seems to have dissappeared. i dont remember deleteing it.

Through my secret hacking techniques (ie. whois), I have discovered that the person who accessed your account lives in China, something you could have never figured out without me.
You can thank me later, hold your applause please.

Yeah, this is why you NEVER use the same password for your email account for any other account, especially one that is tied to that email.

Sony obviously decided that $1mil was too much, hacked into everyone's email and deleted the email they had sent... Evidence removal. :toughninja:

IP Tracker directs me to this place.

It's not a proxy btw.

Send your info and the IP screenshot you made to Sony, maybe that helps them.

Okay, that PSN business is pretty bad, but it's worse that you didn't change your password weeks after it.

The majority have, their intention was to send an email to their entire user base to warn them but it didn't pan out as they hoped

Same.

Weird thing is mine listed activity from FL and GA as a mobile phone, I think it's confusing those two for my mobile.

I had one. Thansk for the tip. I use hotmail but don't have credit card and all my info is fake minus the mail so  I'm not too worried.

It was ridiculous a long time ago. I'm not going to cave in and buy a 360, but I'll admit it's looking better and better. This really is a colossal failure on Sony's part, both from a technological standpoint and with customer care. I don't understand how it can take a company like Sony a month to rebuild their security systems, and I certainly don't understand why they can't be a bit more forthcoming with information. They've been a bit better about the latter as of late, but I really wish they would be giving us daily, detailed updates about how the rebuilding is coming along.

I have both, but I am not going to pay $60 to play online. Thats why I bought a PS3 because I was hoping to play online, but now that it seems like sony can't get their act together, I am not sure if the PS3 is even worth it. better graphics heck ya, but I mean come on! I have been very patient and have been waiting for some good news, but now that I just heard more bad news I'm getting a little impatient.
