Quests you'll never do again

The quest where you work for the Van Graffs. Never completed it once, because I hardly think caps are worth the death of Cass, my favorite companion.

and experience!

My least favorite quest is I Put a Spell on You, too damn glitchy.

My favorite quest so far has to be No Gods, No Masters. That quest was awesome, despite the fact it was short. I enjoyed the "chat" I had with both Lanius and Oliver. I love dealing with Oliver.

"That was an impressive light show you put on!"

"Yeah? Wait 'till you see what happens next ;)"

I was loyal to the BoS strictly for the training, right after I helped the Remnants and was offered training >_>

It was all for nothing! T_T

So I just finished Legend of the Star for the achievement, and I have to tell you, I will never ever do that quest again. Ofcourse, there would be no reason to as it's a pain to do in the first place and of no importance to the plot but I really think I will never even touch another star bottle cap

What was your least favorite quest and why? Not necessarily because of poor writing or plot design, what I'm after here is which quests did you find overly tedious or just a pain in the pipboy?

Pointless Reply Since You Already Said It But The Cap Thing For Me Too.Spent So Much Time Tryin To Find Them All Thinkin It Would Gimme A Cool Gun Or Summin But Instead A Story.F U Festus. If You Complain He Gives You Key To Back Room.ooooooo Im So Glad I Did It Now.Found Loadsa Sherrifs Badges In There

Why would I want to get that?
Game is easy enough as it is, I don't need no power armor training so I can use the best armor in the game.

Don't remember the name of it, but I would say the quest you do for Red Lucy. I may be a courier, but damnit, I'm not your personal delivery boy; you want eggs? Go out and get 'em yourself...or are you too chicken?

EDIT: Bleed Me Dry.

The fetch quests are really to get the player travelling around the map to places you might not otherwise discover, so they're useful early on and fairly quick if you've discovered everything. I like Bleed Me Dry, it's especially good for challenge level, locations and rewards, you get as a reward a hunting rifle, hunting revolver, Dinner Bell (one of the best guns in the game), 1650 XP and up 6400 caps. You find, assuming you haven't already looted the locations, the AER Prototype, a hunting shotgun, a hunting revolver, 12.7 pistol, 12.7 SMG, a Fat Man (maybe 2) and Mercy and Power Armour depending on which location you go to. And that's just the highlights.

Trouble with all the fetch quests is that they're a bit of a slog after a couple of playthroughs and BMD in particular is a lot of work just for a good shotgun.

Forgot to say which I'd never do again.

That BoS computer virus problem, tried several times and managed to isolate the virus twice but never the necessary third.

The quest down in Camp Searchlight where you collect Dog Tags - We All Go To Together. Ack, the first time I did that quest with some companions I spent several hours looking for dead ghouls that my companions killed. Constantly getting Irradated. In the end all I got was some crappy service rifle. I would kill the quest giver on the spot - except his next quest rocks

Return To Sender, a million times Return To Sender. Such an incredibly tedious and boring trudge-athon, words can barely do justice to how much I loathe that quest. If only Hanlon's wild-goose stories were true, at least the quest would have a bit more to it as a result.

Also, the BoS's computer virus problem. Did it first time, never since bothered with it once.

Come fly with me because it is so annoying dealing with the nightkin and i found out that you don't have to do that quest for Manny Vargas to tell you that you need to go to Boulder City you can just go in his room and go on his terminal and find a not entitle Great Khan Hospitality and it will tell you to go to Boulder City.

I'll have to add any quests on the Strip and a second on the BoS quests

why?

Too many load screens. It's only an annoyance thing but all the quests on the strip require you to fast travel to the Strip North Gate (loading screen) then walk through it (loading screen) then hope that youre going into either Gomorrah(sp) or the Lucky 38 (loading screens) but if you have to go to say, the NCR Embassy thats three more load screens. And oh yea, if you have to go into the casinos and get your weapons secured, you have to reassign them to the DPad when leaving again

as for the BoS quests there's alot of run-around which is tedious in its own right but the addition load screens of fast travelling there, going inside, then going into the door to level one, then another screen to get to level two

Birds of a Feather. I just find everyone in the Silver Rush to be incredible [censored]s and I like to think myself a better steward of all that firepower.

I really did not have any that i did not like, yes some were more annoying than others, but all in all i felt that the number of quests combined with the different way they could be solved by different builds was cool. I had no idea you could just blow past come fly with me, as i just completed it again last night with character number 6 the only part of the quest i found somewhat annoying is when you have all the parts and must than run all the way back through the control room to the launch area. But really everything to do the quest is close to Novac so i suppose it balances out.

The only one i found annoying really, was for the BoS collecting the three parts scattered in various vaults to fix thier bunker, but it was mostly because the vault locations were a bit tricky, especially vault 22 with the plant people where you need the hepa filters (think that is right). Even then after about 6 times through the game now i can for the most part navigate my way around any main quest location and a few not so main. But i do agree with the other poster who said one "blood stained" hallway looks like any other, where i will add to that statement that any "rusted" hallway also fits this criteria lol.

All in all what is cool is that even those quests we would rather skip can be completed by other alternatives such as speech checks, picking a lock, hacking a terminal, picking a pocket, or just plain shooting them in the face and rummaging around in thier stuff (my personal favorite). Excuse me for a second as Bethesda's hook is chaffing me, but sure i am a fan hook line and sinker, they do not even need a net i will climb in the boat with them if they will let me.

I hear that. My last playthrough I installed Hardin as Elder when before I had always done McNamara. WOW. So much faster and easier and all you need is Science 60 with a skill book (or 50 with a skill book if you took that overpowered perk) and then you can do Hardin's quest so easily to kill the VanGraffs by starting Birds Of A Feather and let the place get suicide bombed. Too much temptation to say screw the roleplaying and do that questline instead of McNamara's
but sure i am a fan hook line and sinker, they do not even need a net i will climb in the boat with them if they will let me.

Me too, me too. I really do feel FONV is one of the best video games I've ever played and with each patch its only shortcomings get fewer and fewer (namely, the bugs), which is hard for me to admit as I'm pretty sure i was born a "hater"

I do "Legend of the Star" to get those Sunset Sarsaparilla Deputy badges......I use them to create my own "Legend of the Star" by marking my kills with them.

I avoid doing Come Fly With Me whenever possible, as I find it to be annoying. It's not particularly difficult or anything, but resolving it in my preferred completely peaceful manner can be a real pain.

I also rarely bother with the companion quests, mostly because I rarely bother with companions; Cass's quest in particular always gets skipped these days since I prefer having the Van Graffs around to buy EW ammo from.

Other than that I do pretty much all the quests I come across, although I put some off for a while as there are related quests I want to finish first.

Legend of the Star, Unto to Caesar, and of course the one quests that makes me look like an errand-boy (running back and forth) while on the Strip.
