Really...... Great Endings!

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 1:31 pm

Many people complain about endings. I really think the endings are good in this game. In fallout 3 i agree. you could skip the ending, it Was really "you where good or bad, sacrifice, war never changes good bye"

But the way all endings seemed to land in some kind of "grey zone" new vegas gives me that feeling that i want to try even harder to do the right things. And what ever you do it will have both good and bad consequences in the end.
I am so fed upp with the typical all American ending. No one lives happy aver after... only some do.

Anyone agree or is it just bullshizzle?

thumps upp for new vegas endings!

I loved the ending. It felt good to kill that stupid Lee Oliver and that idiot Legate Lenius. Now, with MY New Vegas, there can be a New America.

Another ending thread... sigh

How can three new quests show your long term actions?!?!? It would take 4 MMOs just to show your long term actions! Sure, you could see the short term benefit, but the long term affects could not be seen.

I thought so too! They were very nice. And on another note, I especially liked how they did the voiceovers in the ending slides. :)

My favorite part of FO1/2 was the ending where it told you what happened to each town.

I'm so happy to see it back in FONV. :)

Umm...$65 buck for 21 hours is actually pretty good. And you obviously havent used its full worthiness, my first character is 55 hours in and my new character that i just made is 15 hours in and hasn't touched the main quest beyond getting to the strip.

Agreed, I played MW2 for like 6 Hours! It was a complete rip-off.

21 Hours is actually peanuts compared to many people.

I beat the campaign in like 5 hours, but I've put a good share into multiplayer, still doesnt match up to what ive put into New Vegas already, which is like 70 hours/

How can you be done after 21 hours?

I didn't even finish the main quest after that long.

Come back after you found all the caves that don't have map markers and we'll talk about you being done. :)

Okay, so wasting money on a DLC is a better alternative than reloading an earlier save?

Wasting money on repurchasing the game (let's be honest; he's not getting full price back if he returns it) AND the DLC. Just because a game has an ending (blasphemy!).

Personally I liked how they expanded past the normal ending structure and told you what happened to each various faction, and follower instead of focusing just on the main character (you) and lumping the wasteland as a whole (D.C. vs Mojave). It gives you a broader view of your influence on the game world.

And as far as why they ended it my thought is that perhaps there is too many factors to consider for it to have been in the main release. If you sided with legion the mojave and new vegas itself would be drastically changed. Instead of protectrons you'd have legion, and slaves everywhere. Towns would be destroyed and factions decimated.

Many choices leads to many consequence, just like it was in Fallout 1 and Fallout 2. This, I like. Heck, I don't mind that I cannot play my toon afterward. Fallout 3, well, "I don't like it" is a "nice" way of saying it.

I think they can. Just look how complex the game is right now. Didn′t take them that long to pull it off. Like somebody posted. " exchange sicuritrons with ncr soliders or leigioners and slaves..." sounds pretty easy. And pull in some aftermath fighing on all sides for extra quest content.

I think they made a fortune on broken steel. they will probably repeat.
