It's a map website, so there's no image unless I took a screenshot. It's just some blue specks that naturally look odd when zoomed really far in.

It's have to be a pretty damn bright spaceship to see it that far away, and if the aliens coming to invade us were stupid enough to put blinding lights on their ship, I don't think we have anything to fear.

Really? Pinpoints of light in space? I'm convinced it's aliens...

I mean, what else could it be?

Why do you assume they are aliens in those blue objects? This isn't an alien thread, it's a UFO thread.

If aliens are coming to earth, what makes you think that they would be coming to invade? Too many movies...

Good point. Also valid. Although I'm not convinced these are aliens or spaceships, I must ask why such a fuss over these 3 objects? It must be something, right? Otherwise we would get this all the time...

I never thought they were coming at all, to invade or not, I was just being sarcastic.

If it's not "aliens" then why does anyone care at all?

These kind of objects could lead to some kind of breaking scientific discovery.

Because some people will see ufo/alien/underground alien base in a picture of rocks scattered around.... Makes you think if they have seen other pictures around the universe.

You guys should take the whole thing a bit more serious. A good friend of mine, whos name I won't tell here, has been abducted by aliens not so long ago. And they took him into some kind of space ship and made certain experiments with him, which I cannot describe here in detail. Let's say, they attacked him from behind.

http://www.google.com/search?btnG=1&q=skymap+coordinates+ufo

And even this http://paranormalutopia.com/2010/12/craig-kasnov010/ says it's all a bunch of nonsense. That site was one of the first thing that came up as soon as I actually, you know, checked to see who this Craig Kasnov person is. Didn't you do any research on this at all, or is this a case of believing everything you read on the internet?

I can see why you didn't initially link to articles, very sneaky sis.

What disturbs me most is that not only has this claim only been reported on conspiracy/paranormal minded websites and no actually reputable news sources (I guess because "the man" is covering it up), but that all the articles saying it's a hoax are still only on conspiracy/paranormal minded websites. I have a feeling I just entered the realm of the internet most conspiracy theorists call home, and the feeling of being there is akin to being in the dangerous part of town, except in this case the only thing you're worried about is absorbing too much stupidity.

Ok, but not all the websites claim it to be a hoax, although the balance is probably in their favour... it could be a cover up :s

What I meant was, the two sides debating this hoax are both still part of a community that thrives on hoaxes and accepts them as fact, with no "normal" news sources chiming in at all.

For example, lets say we have a group of people, and they all agree that pieces of furniture are not alive. But then there's a smaller group of 4 people who have convinced themselves furniture is in fact alive, and accept this as a common fact being covered up by the rest of society. Then, one of the 4 people proclaims "Furniture can speak Spanish," and while one other person agrees, the other two start to argue with him about how "evidence" shows they can only speak French.

See what I'm getting at? This is the embarrassment that is the conspiracy theory community in a nutshell.

After having lent this subject little more attention than any other subject I have formulated an OPINION. Having an internet connection, I feel the need to share it!

The only evidence we have is a picture of a light bouncing in a camera shot from several angles. I could throw together an equally convincing hoax video in ten minutes, twenty if I had to draw the light myself, instead of taking it from a library of pre-made effects.

I have a hard time believing that this series of videos is any more evidence than any other hoax in the past.

I'm not saying that we aren't being invaded by aliens (though some laws of perspective are a little less lenient than I am), but lending these videos any credibility is just unintelligent. There is no reason to believe that a couple low-quality videos on youtube are compelling evidence, or really any evidence, of a UFO sighting, not even beginning to contemplate that that (probably fictional) UFO was anything other than a strange light.

I did, however, make the mistake of reading some of a thread on ATS, which left me scarred and traumatized, as I am every time that people are able to express themselves literately and confidently and even make assertions using faulty evidence.

I am personally just entertained by the top search results on google news relating to Jerusalem.

The claim of any website on the internet beyond reputable news sources, and even then, should not be trusted more so than what some guy puts on his facebook.

I hereby claim that President Obama was not born in the United States: not all websites deny my claim as a hoax. In fact, a fairly large constituent of supporters exists for this theory. This does not even introduce the possibility of my claim being factual.

Likewise, no evidence exists that these videos are legitimate, nor any evidence that the bright lights in them are in fact anything other than bright lights.

I am equally entertained that the 'alien' theories are far more prominent than religious ones, being jerusalem and all...

I'm not seeing any articles where anyone is trying to verify this guy's findings. Really all you have to do is point a telescope where these things are supposed to be and you'll see whether or not they're really there. Better yet, if they are there, try to get some higher-res images of them to get a better idea of what they are.

This isn't quite as bad of a hoax as the brown dwarf coming to eat us in a few years, but it's close.

Same thoughts as in all UFO sightings: hoax, experimental or unindentified aircraft or an unrecognized weather phenomenom. Space is simply too big for aliens to get here. In a ship so small various armies around the world wouldn't detect, atleast.

We have nothing to fear, if the zerg do invade the glorious first born will save us. Or atleast Korea.

My real opinion is that if a super advance race reached our planet and they wanted to kill us, we wont see their scouts or ships because they most wont have really bright lights on it. Or they would just accelerate a rock towards us and wipe us all out in a few seconds.

^ Why would they come here to kill us? :teehee:

Are there any articles about this thing which is from a more reliable source?

Indeed if it were some unidentified phenomena it would be kinda cool, but I can't really draw any conclusions from new agey conspiracy sites and a blurry photo.

Why bother with throwing rocks? Just leave one ship empty and set it to collision course with earth with whatever speed they use for interstellar travel. It'll cause more than enough damage on impact. The http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tunguska_event is suspected to be caused by just a core of a comet (or a damaged alien ship according to one story i read :D), but still caused major damage, and it traveled nowhere near light speed.

Unless of course they want us alive :o
