Yeah that is pretty great. I like imagining Jon is all like "BOOM! I have arrived! Bring me my whiskey lest you end up like these pieces of wood."

I am tempted to scream "I'm the Juggernaut [censored]!!!!!" every time but I think My parents might think somethings wrong with me. :P

5 beers in. Got 2% so far... 99.1% just have to get some bounties now! WOOOHOOO! I didn't think I'd be this close tonight. I had a lot to do. I started out getting all the plants. Then I had to do the master hunter starting from 6 on. Just killed Brumas to finish that. 9 bounties to go. I think.

Hey guys, I got some good cash for my graduation and am considering getting this game. I plan on trading in two of my recent games as well as a few old PS2 games, and with the Gamestop 50% extra deal I should only have to spend around $20 on it, but I'm kind of curious how worth it it is. I really like the idea of it, but for some reason have a nagging feeling that it will get repetitive, which I don't usually get with sandbox games like these.

I got XBL Gold, but my signal's not great, I'll move the 360 closer to the wifi box and play some multiplayer later.

Honestly you are sort of right, after completing the SP story there realy isnt much to do, dlc could fix it but it can only do so much, its a great game, but at the end it leaves you wanting more, with nothing to find.

There's always the chance of becoming a Bank Robber, or some sort of anti-authoritarian who uses Mexico as a safe haven when being pursued by US Law Enforcement, and thus becoming a sort of Landon Rickets in

Ugh, I'm so stupid.

I've left my Xbox 360 on for 2 days (REALLY stupid of me.) and I have to wait for it to cool down. I was sleeping this morning and I saw the rings flashing red so I generally thought RRoD and jumped up to turn it off. I turned it back on and I was able to get to the dashboard so I turned it off again. I felt relieved that it only overheated.

Will it cool down faster if I put something cold on it, like a cloth?

Putting a cloth on it would probably just block up the vents. I think it'd be best to just leave it.

:slap: :o

Ouch. I would let it sit another 2 days... In an air conditioned room.

On a side note, I passed out last night before I could get the last 5 bounties, but I finished today! Redeemed at last!

Nah, just leave it. It should cool down completely in a couple hours or less.

I think I might go and see if they have any used copies at Gamestop. That way I can play it, and if I don't like it I'll have a week to return it.

I'll get Wyatt to dynamite you <_<

Also, why was John so mean to Uncle? It seemed really out of character how he was always nasty to him, even if he was a lazy drunk.

You cant control wyatt no one can, his dynamite obsession is just to strong :bonk: I also disliked the way he treated him to, seemed dikeish as hell.

The more I play this game, the more I love it. I'm not too far in; limited free time has meant I've only had the odd chance to play it. I did have a nice five hour session on Sunday though.

While the missions, combat and dialogue are all great, what really makes the game for me is the overall atmosphere of the world. There is always something going on, some little event that you can intervene in or simply watch. And they always feel organic; I've never felt like I'm witnessing the same thing twice. Rockstar touched on this in the last few GTA games, but they really hit the nail on the head with RDR. Bethesda should take note for their next TES/Fallout game.

If I could fault the game, it's that I've encountered a few (minor) glitches. Horse and NPC behaviour is occasionally erratic too. But these small problems rarely detract from the game, and compared to some other sandbox games lately (Just Cause 2, I'm looking at you), it's relatively bug free.

I haven't tried multiplayer yet, but I'm looking forward to giving it a go when I have the time. This is a game I can see myself trying to 1000/1000 achievement-wise, and even playing for a while after that.

Yeah i felt guilty when he died. But he did seem a bit lazy, he let the crows get onto the grain silo and he generally let the ranch fall into disrepair.

I would of liked more background on who he was, if john is the son of a scot, why is his uncle not scot. Or if its his mum's side, why didnt he mention something about the past? There could have been home missions to cover this.

Yeah, I could understand John being mean to him if we were given a reason, John's far from perfect, but they're seemed to be no explaination other than 'he was lazy', which seems a bit harsh. Uncle sounded really upset at some of the things John said, like when he said 'I really did try my best to take care of the farm', and John was like 'your best is everyone else's worse'. It just seemed out of character for John, especially seeing as this was at the same time when he was laughing and joking with Abi and Jack.

Edit: according to the wiki he's no relation, Uncle is just his nickname
