Damn cougars! Playing last night I had one kill my horse from out of no where while I was going for the "use the same horse for 20 missions" achievement. It was so messed up too. I got right there to the new mission and right as I start the mission I hear the cougar and see my horse fall over.

re load a save, and sign me .up

Can I commit a crime, whatever it may be, when there is absolutely NO ONE around and get away with it? For instance, if I hogtie someone, place them on my horse and ride to a field in the middle of nowhere and then shoot them, will I automatically see a bounty warning and a red map with stars coming for me even though no person could have even heard anything, let alone see it? GTA4 was notorious for that sh*t. Oblivion was, as well.

You can get away with anything as long as there are no witnesses (who will appear on your mini-map) and if you kill the witness without any witnesses you will also get away scot free. I have also found that at a certain point, if you kill all the law in the area your warning will go away almost instantaneously.

I lost 3 horses yesterday in the span of about an hour. First one just randomly fell over dead while I was riding. Then, I bought a $750 Kentucky Saddler, and it got shot within like 5 minutes. Then the third one got mauled by a bear.

Is it just me or is there not much motivation to make money other then robbing banks & doing Bounty's just for fun? You can't buy anything in the game, you pay $750 for the american standard, Then buy the hungarian horse which I haven't seen yet and then your evan's repeater or what have you, then what?

So many way's to make a ton of money in the game but no were to spend any of it.

Edit: You guy's do know if you buy a horse it never dies, you just reclick the deed and it comes right back to you. Kind of a immersion braker though id of been cool if your horse dies you haft to reload the game or you lose it for good, hence would give more motivation to want to find & tame horses.

I just break horses. And no, I have no need for money. I have enough pardon papers to last a life time.

What's everyone's favourite story mission? Mine is the last one I did, where you and the mexican army raid that fort - the one where you get the sniper rifle. Sniping, running to cover and spraying enemies with rifle fire was just awesome.

Shooting for 100% completion right now.I am at 92.1%.The checklist at rockstar svcks though.I have no stranger quest apparently nor have I finished the MQ. <_< These types of things never work for me, its just like the Dragon Age character bio thing.

Same with me. Apparently I haven't discovered half the map, finished the main story, or done any challenges and Im at 95%

I really wanna get 100%, but I skipped out on a few stranger missions so I can't.... I got the "Help 15 strangers out" achievement but there's 18 stranger missions total(19 if you count the "I know you" stranger mission, that one isn't needed for 100% though)

Which ones? I finished the main story having only done a few stranger missions but I went back and did the rest.

I just looked at the wiki list of stranger missions, compared them to the ones I already did and took it from there. Some require you to finish other stranger missions first.

I'll get on my xbox and see which ones I have, and which ones I haven't completed, I'd just use the rockstar checklist but it's pretty terrible, last time I checked I had 0 story missions completed, after I had finished the storyline.

Anyone else realize, that it's only the AI's weapons that give off smoke residue when fired? Kinda sad none of my black powder rifles, or revolvers give off smoke.

I've never used Rockstar's list after it failed to load for me for a few days.

So let me get this straight, do I have to get close to a stranger mission for it to appear on my map? or if a stranger mission is available will it just appear on my map no matter how far away I am?
